My face is so red and blotchy sometimes! I'm thinking a have a mild case of rosacea but not sure. Whenever I wash my face with a cleanser or apply lotion, my face gets really red and that redness will come back later on. I've even tried the all kinds of redness reducing products but they make my skin redder! All I do now is wash my face with water and use the exfoliating cloths by Simple. Even washing with water makes my skin beat red but then after awhile it's fine so the clothes don't flare up my skin. Does anyone else have rosacea or really sensitive skin? What products do you use?

Also use a green primer. it counteracts red and will reduce redness and also it might be your cleanser or moisterizer.

Ok thanks! I don't use a moisturizer or cleanser right now though because any product I use flares up my skin :( I'm having dry skin right now so wondered if there was products anyone else used that won't make me red.

It sounds like you've got hypo sensitive skin :/. you need to use all natural products and something which isn't perfumed :) pevonia rosacea kits are fantastic :) you get trial kits :) give it a go! xx

Try using products that contain chrysanthemum. It will help the redness.

I'm 35 and in my late 20s I had red blotchy skin (on face) didn't no it was rosacea and now its all over my checks with bumps, I use MAC's cream wash and some of there face creams. MAC is the only brand that doesn't make it flare up,but I'm up for any good ideas to help my rosacea also.

I was reccomended this for my keratosis palaris and have the same problems as you. my skin is very dry, red and splotchy which sucks that I can't not wear makeup :/ and is somewhat sensitive. Reading the reviews of this product others have said how much it helped with their exema and this is a fragrance, paraben, sulfate, etc.free product- so it's all natural. I haven't tried this but I'm going to Sephora asap and getting some so I figured I would pass it along. :)
Also you can try bio oil, it's done wonders for me for scars and dry skin but it's oil so I only use it at night, but it's great for scars, dry skin, strechmarks, etc- it's really amazing!

A really well-known make up artist in the blog sphere named Wayne Goss had the same problem! He said benzoyl peroxide was the trick and lots of it! :)

I have rosacea the only things I've found that works is the Clinique range specifically designed for redness, their yellow concealer stick was a god send as I have very bad redness, their cleanser is great too.

I have this SAME issue and MACs Complete Comfort Creme has saved my skin. Not only does it soothe the texture, it's chalk full of pure aloe Vera which is amazing for calming redness and sensitivities.

For make up to hide it use smash box colour correcting primer, it works wonders and clinique also does a redness solutions powder. as for skin care use Clinique rednes cream.

I'm going on 41 and woke up to one side of my face all red with bumps. No matter what I do or what I use to wash my face with, it's not working. Please give me some suggestions.
