I recently started to use bare minerals and loved the outcome, although I did get a shade or so too dark. its now time for me to get more of multiple things, but money is tight. should I stay with bare minerals or go drugstore brands? I have heard many great review on drug store brands, and I am just wondering should I save money and try them, or stick to bare minerals?

I use to use bare minerals as well and it was alright. I was nervous to use drugstore but once I used it I fell in love! There are so many foundations out there and you could deff find one that suits you and your skin type/tone. Bare minerals could get pricy and drugstore works just as good for half the cost!

I make my own mineral foundation, it's a bit tricky to get the shade right for you're skin at first and you need to invest in the minerals upfront which can be expensive. When I was researching though there seen to be many small companies that make mineral foundation that can be cheaper than drugstore and the formulas are very similar. You could try to order some samples online to try them out first?

I agree with the comment about physicians formula. I've tried powders from both physicians formula and bare minerals with very similar results so that is a great and more inexpensive option :] Personally speaking I feel that you should spend a little more money on your face makeup compared to everything else since its the base of everything you apply makeup on. Overall it depends on your skin type and preference. Another brand to try out is Sonia Kashuk from target which also works very well.

I have been using bare minerals for years and nothin can ever top it. I have tried almost all the drugstore brands from revlon, maybelline to loreal but I always go back to bare minerals because they make me breakout, oily, oxidize, etc. spend the extra bucks on bare minerals!!

BareMinerals definitely!! It's so good for your skin! Just buy drugstore replacements for your other stuff.

Bare Minerals. A lot of drugstore brands claim. to be "mineral" but just have a lot of junk in them. Just pick up your right shade and you'll be happy!

I say follow what your wallet can handle. You can always get BareMinerals when a little extra money comes your way.
