Face Primer VS Eye Primer?

Ok so, for ages I never really used an eye primer, anyway as a cheaper alternative, I used a face primer as an eyelid primer for my shadows & its wonderful! Just wanted to see everyones thoughts & see if anyones done the same thing or am I just weird haha.
