some makeup products contains harmful chemicals . sometomes its cause of darkening in ur face

it can be especially if you don't cleanse your face properly however as women we tend to sometime over look our skin troubles and wear makeup anyways I'd say work on clearing up your acne and if you wear makeup wear mineral makeup or very light makeup

as someone who has also suffered from acne and acne scarring, I know it feels neccessary to cover it up every day. Try a foundation like Neutragena's Healthy Skin that has anti-oxidents in it, so it is covering and helping your skin at the same time. Also, having one makeup-free day a week to let your skin breathe will be beneficial. And no, not every product you put on your skin is bad. I went to school for aesthetics, and most products out there now are there to help and protect your skin from "natural" things like the sun.

No, its actually really good for your face. When you wear foundation everyday and your out doing errends or etc. foundatio protects your face from impurities and free radicals. So dont stop wearing it. Good luck

Yeah it is, it clogs up your pores, but as long as you have a break at least once a week and take all your makeup off every night before bed, you'll be ok :)

Incorrect Melanie L.foundation does not protect your skin from free radicals or impurities. Whoever feed you that junk is a fraud. What protects your skin from damaging free radicals is using an antioxident serum followed by a moisturizing spf of at least 30. Antioxidents and spf 30 are the two most important tools to protect your skin.

Thank you for all the feedback! I have tried bare minerals before and they seem to just clog my pores and make me break out. I'll have to give some of these other products a try :)

i think that that is just a stereotipe, if you take off your make up every night-there will be no problems.but still, you should always reda the label. :) i know from personal expirience. :D

It's simple; the less products you use on your skin, the better. I firmly believe in being confident in with your own skin, regardless of how many imperfections you have, and being kind to your skin by saving foundation for special occasions.

tbh I think mineral foundation us better than anything... it won't clog your pores as much.

make sure you wash and moisturise your skin. before going to bed make sure you dont have any makeup left becausr thats when your skin absorbs everything you put on it example makeup or moisturisers. also, put a moisturiser on your face it will create a wall between your skin and makeup. hope it helped :)
