You should never dry shave that's insane! I've done it before and never again lol the stinging will linger for a few days and possibly cause annoying red bumps worst mistake I.ever made lol

Oh I did that before and it hurts so bad! Never try dry shaving and get a shaving cream so it doesn't sting in the shower. I recommend the skintimate shaving cream in the mango scent it smells amazing!

Put baby oil on it for now. Lotions usually have alcohols in them which kills!! But never dry shave ever again. If anything, use conditioner to shave, it makes your legs super soft, if you don't have any shaving cream at the moment.

Hi marcelina, it has happened to be me before so I know what you're talking about. Your skin is stinging because your pores were tight and closed when the hair was razed off. What you need to do is take a shower head with hot water ( not warm but not scalding either) and move the shower head in circular motions on your skin. The hot water opens up your pores so your skin can breathe, keep doing this twice a day for three days (or whenever your hair grows back). When your hair has grown back, repeat this hot water processes, exfoliate with a good grainy scrub to get rid of the Scabs and dead skin that would have accumalated over the dry shave. After you've exfoliated, slather the Shave gel THEN SHAVE hahah good luck

I forgot to add, many of the comments here suggest moisturizing with lotion/ oil but that will be counter productive. Your skin won't absorb anything cos the pores are closed and tight, so over loading your alr dry and irritated skin will just worsen it. Continue the hot water process and only moisturize again after your next shave

Hey just put on some coconut oil you've likely scraped the skin so no matter how much you moisturizes still going to be dry and rough. Just got awaited out.

I did this before when I was in a hurry and it truly hurts but I have this Nepoli Water by Kerstin Florian and I read that its good to sooth the skin so I tried and it instantly yes instantly calmed the sting on my legs! :)

Maybe the blade was old and rusty...and that cause irritation to the skin. so make sure your replacing your blades!

I use coconut oil or olive oil when I shave. it makes them super soft. plus I have eczema so it works. to clean my razor I soak it in water and a cap-full or two of vodka.

I never shave with shaving cream. it's too expensive and doesn't work as well as other remedies. buy cheap conditioner and use it just to shave. it works wonders! And as far as dry shaving goes thats a no-no! If youre in a hurry either do a light shave with water or even just conditioner or lotion. I still dont even recommend that, but sometimes youre in a pinch and need smooth legs- or at least legs that don't resemble a sweater! haha.

Yes a Aloe Vera moisturising body lotion should help cool them down and stop them stinging :)

Okay so being in Australia, this solution worked for me but I don't know if it'll work for you. I went swimming, dried BY SUN NOT TOWEL then used Zoella's Creamy Madly Dreamy, which contains vitamin E, aloe Vera & shea butter. worked great!
