Beauty Product Reviews

I love Adora! It's the perfect rockstar red. Great for a night out and still pretty wearable during the day if you play down the eyes. It's also a blue-based red which is great as it makes your teeth look whiter than normal! My one and only minor complaint with this lipstick is that it does dry your lips out. But I've found a way around that by just putting on a chapstick before lipstick application. By doing this, the lipstick goes on a lot smoother.

Before I had a skincare routine that consisted of using the Clarisonic Mia with Neutrogena Grapefruit Facial Cleanser, MAC's Oil Control Lotion only stopped the oils from coming to the surface for a few hours. I'd have to touch up around lunch time to keep my forehead from looking like a greasy surface. But I do have a very oily skin. Anyways, now that I have a skincare routine that evens out the oil levels on my face, this product has been able to keep my face from looking like disco ball by midday. Point of the story - have a good skincare routine down before giving up on this product because it is very good. But it works even better when you have your oily skin controlled at the base level. :)

I know there's been a lot of talk about this product drying out the skin, but my skin is naturally oily and it does wonders to even it out. I use this product in combination with my Clarisonic Mia and I can't say enough about it. It removes excess oil, the leftover makeup (including waterproof mascara) and it smoothes out the skin! The smell is fruity and pleasant for the most part. It lathers pretty quickly. However, because it is formulated for those prone to acne, the salicylic acid does give your face tingles after use. So, I'd use a gentle toner after this. Personally, I like the tingles because for some reason, that feels clean to me. Haha. Weird, I know. But otherwise, this it's a great product. PS - if you're transitioning to this product, expect a couple-to a few weeks of skin purging. Especially if you've got sensitive skin and prone to breakouts. Sorry. But I promise, if you stick with it, it'll get better! :)

I use this in combination with Olay's Total Effects 7-in-1 anti aging serum. It's a good product that I use at night after cleansing and it does very well to moisturise overnight. However, after a really good cleanse (I also use Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser and my Clarisonic Mia), the Miracle Worker can sting every so slightly. Personally, I like the stinging effect. I'm a sucker for a little pain (Haha). But if you're not into that and don't like the tingling sensation, it's not the product for you.

I'm on my second tube of this wonderful product. I have thin, short eyelashes that can never seem to curl on its own. The Loreal Million Lashes mascara helps my difficult become more plump and lengthens with a couple of coats. I also use the two mascara trick and use Million Lashes with a the waterproof version of Maybelline's The Falsies in Black Drama. Together, these make a dramatic change to my otherwise boring lashes!
