I find them very practical and the texture high quality!!!, has a wide range of colors!!, and they last for so long that you will not be dissapointed!! Here's an example, hope it's helpful!
Pandora is a matte deep black combined with a frosty white shimmer. Together, their polar opposite textures and colors create drama, intensity, and a statement on the eyes. I use this two different ways. 1) Apply the shimmery white all over lids and browbone. Then, use the matte deep black as eyeliner (with a damp eyeliner brush like MAC 266), draw a thin line on the upper lash line and lightly flick out to create a mod inspired wing. 2) Apply a neutral matte base (like MAC Bisque) all over the lids to provide a nice base for eyeshadow to stick to (use Urban Decay Primer Potion if you like that product instead). With a densely packed eyeshadow brush (like the MAC 239), pack on the matte black shade of pandora ONTO the lid and a bit lighter on the crease. Then, take the MAC 217 brush and begin smoking the black up and re-applying the black to get your desired smokey intensity. Pat the white shimmery shadow intensely on the inner corners and browbone for a shimmery sheen. Top off with mascara, a peachy nude blush and blush pink gloss :) (See attached photo for eye look)
I love NARS, yes there I said it I love, love, love NARS! All the products are such high quality, so highly pigmented and go on beautifully and wear all day. Yes I said all day, and my average day is 12-14 hours. From morn to night NARS stays with me. I Have 2 Duo Eye-shadows: Isolde and Mediteranee and both are gorgeous. They are bold colors and can be worn that way, but also can play them down a bit for an everyday look. Every time I wear them I get asked all day long, what are you wearing??? Lol
Super pigmented and this duo in Kalahari is a soft gold and brown colour, amazing for day time and creating a night time look too, I use an eye primer under these just to make them last longer and make the colours really pop, but over all these duo's are the best!!! I would collect them all if I could.
I really do like how natural and pretty this duo is on but the glitters in the darker color flakes off a bit. The first is really sheer almost non-existent on my skintone; the second though is a glittery bronze color. The colors are just average and so is the pigmentation but I do not at all regret swapping for it. Next time maybe i will try a more colorful duo that will have more fun colors to work with. Overall, This product is so-so.
I have pale skin and blue-grey eyes and this is seriously the perfect duo for me. The ivory shade has a really pretty muti-colored shimmer to it, and the grey isn't overly blue or purple. This duo is great for every day looks, but you can also add in black shadow and liner to go with a pale smokey eye. For me, even with my oily eyelids, the wear is superior. I've only tried a few NARS products, but this one is definitely the best.
This duo is so pretty. The green side is the perfect emerald color, and the ivory makes a nice highlighter on paler skin. The wear is great, and while the ivory shade is a little bit chalky, it doesn't really show on the skin. It isn't a cheap duo by any means, but if you want a versatile green shadow, I say it is worth it.
I picked this eye shadow duo up at Toronto IMATS 2012 and it was a good price too, nice colors, very pigmented, huge fan of NARS eye shadows! The sable colour is a nice color for all over the lid, and then blend the darker violet colour in the crease for a nice smokey eye for evening. I don't like how the packaging gets so dirty quickly, I think they could improve on that a bit, apparently they break easily too but i haven;t experienced that yet, Hopefully I never will, I also am loving the New Andy Warhol collection too, picked up a lip gloss from it in the colour " Candy Says"
