Clumps easily but...
I got this in a two pack for five dollars! I did find that at first application it gave my lashes beautiful length and definition , but after a while the brush gets thick with excess mascara so I do suggest washing it off every once in a while. Other than that it's great for building length and volume
I only ever buy mascara from Maybelline, and this was my latest purchase. I absolutely love the volume it gives me, and the length is just incredible. In the top 3 favs! Like all of their mascaras I find there is a lot of product on the brush for somebody who likes to apply 2 or three coats. I always get best results when I wipe product off the wand first, then use. I'll be repurchasing, and I definitely recommend it. :)
I absolutely love this mascara! This is the one I use daily! It lasts for a long time and doesn't come out clumpy on to my lashes. It makes them looks fuller and longer and it's a really deep black so it really highlights my eyes. I love this product because not only is it substantially cheaper than a lot of other mascaras it is also a lot better and isn't as clumpy as most ones
I haven't stopped using this since I purchased my first one years ago. I have in between used other mascaras to try them out but always end up back to my HG mascara. I love this stuff, My lashes are long and this just coats them evenly making them look full and fluttery without clumping. It really fans out my lashes and creates the perfect look without the need for me to wear false lashes. I have been through many tubes of this and can see many more to come.
Not a disappointment...
I've tried high-end and drugstore mascaras and found that nothing really works, no matter what the adverts say. However, Maybelline The Colossal in Waterproof may be a bit of a game changer for me. The pros: This mascara actually adds some length and thickness, it's not super clumpy, and it keeps the curl. Plus, it's so much cheaper than the one mascara I do like (Lancome Definicils). The key is to always curl the lashes before application, and to occasionally wipe off any built up product in the wand. The cons: Some clumping can happen when product builds up in the wand. Also, it's some work to take it off. Waterproof, for sure.
This is my favorite drugstore mascara! It coats the lashes in dramatic black color while making them appear more dense and lengthening them considerably. (Most mascaras are a one-trick pony, so I was thrilled that the volumizing formula offered respectable length as well!) It didn't do much to curl or separate the lashes, but I had no problems with clumping.
This mascara wore pretty well, to. When I manually curled my lashes, the curl held for 4 hours. I experienced a small amount of flaking at the 6 hour mark as well. Otherwise, I got rich color, length, and volume for over 10 hours.
The wand is chubby, with dense, wide bristles. This type of brush makes for great volumizing; however, it does make coating the baby hairs in the inner corners of the eye difficult. I didn't have any issues with it poking me, though, or being cumbersome. It's affordable to ($6.99), which is remarkable for the great results you get.
The only women I can picture not enjoying this are those who were blessed with naturally thick, dense lashes. The thickeners in volumizing formulas will cause their natural lashes to clump, leaving a sour impression. These women should opt for thinner, more lengthening formulas.
