One of my favorite primers ever!
I've been using MACs soft ochre paint pot for a few months now and I LOVE it!! This is a great base for bright colors and really makes my eye shadows show up true to color. It keeps my eye shadow from creasing all days long. The longest I've worn it was for about 9 hours and my makeup still looked like I had just applied it. Definitely recommend for those with oily lids.
Holy Grail eye primer
This shade is perfect for yellow or warm undertoned people! I use this all over the lid to prime and cancel out any darkness. It dries to a powdery finish and makes the shadow look more vibrant. I like this more than other primers because of the color payoff. A little goes a long way and will buy this again and again!
I think this color is just as good as Painterly. The only difference is Painterly has a pinkish undertone and Soft Ochre is more on the yellow side. It works just as good though and looks just as flattering and holds up your eyeshadow for a few hours. You need some type of primer anyway, so why not consider getting this product?
love it!
this is the best thing that has happened to any makeup, i use this product virtually on any eyeshadow palette that i use and it works even for the cheapest drugstore palette. i cant do without it, i have the paint pot in bare study, groundwork and painterly. love love love them all
Absolutely LOVE this as an eye shadow base. I was debating between the painterly and this one and the MAC makeup artist suggested this one. Its more of a yellow undertone and painterly was more of a pinkish. Absolutely love it - covers any veins or discoloration on my eye and holds my shadow on ALL day!!
Pretty Amazing
I have Rubenesque and Soft Ochre and both are lovely as bases. Rubenesque is good enough to wear alone.
Price: $22.40 CAD
Colour:
Rubenesque- light gold, iridescent shimmer
Painterly- light peachy beige
Soft Ochre- pale yellowed beige
These help my e/s stay on for the entire day and last all day on their own as well. Painterly and Soft Ochre help e/s colours look more vibrant. I recommend P for light to medium skin tones and SO for fairer skins
Stays all day...
Lovely product.
A go to for me for sure.
It's a nice thick creamy texture.
You only need a little bit.
Love soft ochre.
Lasts all day, with or without a primer.
I have slightly oily lids.

Good but drying
I have this in Soft Ochre since few months now but I find it to be really drying at times.
But when it's not dry I really love it to use it as an all over base for my neutral eye looks and sometimes its great on its own.
LOOOVE, Definitely some of my go to products
I love these ... I use them all the time in a variety of colors. My most used are soft ochre and painterly because they are neutral skin tones and give you a clean canvas to work from. MAC doesn't put out new paint pot colors often so if something comes out and you like it try to grab it right away, if not you'll have to look on ebay or wholesale sites and it can get pricey.
Saves my life!
I really need an eyeshadow base for my long days at school because after 4 hours my eyeshadow will fade... YES EVEN WITH UDPP!
So my trick is to put on my usual eye primer *UDPP Eden or ELF* and then this baby with my fingers and then apply my eyeshadow and it lasts ALL DAY. One day I used this at around 8 AM spend all day at school and then went to the gym around 9 PM. At one point while I was working out I looked at myself in the mirror and my eye makeup was STILL there it was slightly faded you know...because I was sweating up a storm but for it to be there 12 hours later and looking pretty good after all that means something. and to me it means that this is worth the moolah.
