GLAM AND RETRO

MAC never fails and this is so true for their lipsticks! After passing this colour up for the longest time, I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase it. I wanted something strong, dynamic, bright, but still appropriate to my medium/brown/olive skin tone. Russian Red is a fantastic buy! It is a matte that goes on very well, does not dry at all and having put it on this morning at 6:00am, its now 12 noon and its still on, regardless of many glasses of water and tea :) I have had so many compliments for it, it lifts your smile even more and just wearing it makes you feel so pretty and sexy! I am so happy about this shade and just sad it took me so long to plunge into the 'reds' . Go buy it today!! Well worth the investment!!

The hands down best

MAC has a lot of amazing products and colors but their lipstick is hands down my go to, I use this for all my red carpet events. Only thing with the Russian Red you need to worry about is if you go out the lines of your lips it stains.

Long Lasting Coverage for an Ultra Pouty Lip!

I have a fascination with Red lips, enter MAC's Russian Red into my life! Pair that with MAC's Brick Lip Liner and you're Hollywood Starlet READY! Russian Red is NOT for the faint at heart! It's a shade that let's you stand out in any crowd, it's messy and you'll leave your mark everywhere you go! This is definitely not the shade you want to wear on a second date ;)

Classic Red

A gorgeous classic red that is perfect for all skin-tones but I felt it to be awfully drying on my sensitive lips. It bled after around two hours even with a lip line fixer but took a lot longer to bleed with using Cherry lip liner. Highly pigmented so only a tiny bit needs to be applied with a brush and it fades relatively evenly perfect for reapplication or even just to go over with a balm for a lovely tint. I'd repurchase this but it's not my go-to red lipstick.

Perfect Red

Really... the perfect red. My only complaint with this color? It seems to bleed easily. Nothing that a lip pencil won't fix but it's just something I've noticed a lot with this particular color.
Smooth consistency and the same smell that MAC lipsticks have, which I love.
But really, the absolute PERFECT red.

Love it!

I love this red lipstick! It's a matte lipstick so if I'm going for a more classier look I wear it as is but if not I put some lip-gloss over it to give it a little shine.
The thing I love most about this lipstick is that it doesn't make your teeth look yellow, weird? not really! lol some red lipsticks do make your teeth look yellow, and this is definitely not one of them!
Btw I think it goes great with all skin tones! (:

My one true lipstick love!

I have Russian Red, Myth and Creme D'Nude. I cannot express my love for these lipsticks, and I will surely be buying more once I have the money. I wear Myth and Creme D'Nude the most, nearly every time I walk out of the door, with my complexion I feel that they are very flattering and beautiful nude colors.

I do find that I am constantly having to re-apply them and I will only wear them while first applying a lip moisturizer which I also have in MAC! I feel so confident while wearing these lipsticks, they 100% complete my look!

Hollywood influence

I really don't like to try trend that happen in hollywood first, because we all know all of us made it happen, am I right? But this was an exception. I love Quentin Tarantino and when his rendition of Inglorious Bastards hit the screen I was excited to see it. After seeing a collage in a magazine about the movie, it appeared that Russian Red was the color of Mac Matte lipstick used in the movie. I picked it up and began to feel badass about my FIRST ever tube of red lipstick.

Retro

My skin is approx NC30, and this lipstick goes well with my skin tone. It's also a great classic red and is perfect for that 50's/60's look. Definitely my fav red lipstick.
