You have to get this color, it is a true jet black. I've tried liquid liners and pencils from MAC, but when I discovered this formula, I never went back. Well I only use pencils in my waterline but I always wear Blacktrack on my top lash line. I get complimented on it left and right! It does take a bit of practice but if you want the best results, consider buying the MAC 110 brush to help you get the precision you want. Good luck :)))

Just right for me!
My friend bought me this for an event that I had to attend, and it was great! It lasted all throughout the night!(more than 10hrs) and I wasn't exactly nervous about messing up because I normally wear gel formula eyeliner.. sooo yeah. great product.. like most MAC products :P
I bought one of these years ago and at first I was a bit shaky when applying since I was used to using pencil versus a brush, but after a few tries I had no problem with applying it, even if I was pressed for time. After I ran out, I was getting a bit cheap with my liner thinking that it was not needed, but come to think of it, some things are meant to be splurged on and this is by far one of the products that is needed. Next trip to the MAC store I'm getting this!! It's long overdue!
One of my top 10 favourite products!
If you are really new at applying liner with a brush, you might find it quite difficult at first and need a bit of practice to get it, but this is irrespective of the product itself - in fact in my opinion it is one of the easiest creme or gel liners to use, and definitely a step easier than liquid liner.
Why I like it:
It has a super silky texture and applies with great precision, like a liquid liner but easier.
Once you put it on, its on! Blacktrack lasts all day without shifting or smudging, especially if you set it with a black shadow. Basically, after applying your liner, use a brush to press a black shadow over the top, thus setting the liner and giving it extra staying power.
It can also be used on your waterline, and has actual staying power unlike the majority of other liners or pencils. Once again, if you set it with powder, it will last even longer.
Because it has such great staying power, it is really good even for people with super oily eyelids.
You can use an angle brush or a liner brush to apply it.
You can make the line as thick or thin as you want to get your desired shape/style.
You only need the tiniest bit of it to get an opaque line, meaning the pot lasts a really long time.
It is super smooth to apply - it dosnt drag like a pencil or bleed or run like a liquid liner.
I can be used for more than just lining - for example, before it sets, you can blend it out with a fluffy brush to create a great base for a dark smoky eye.
It is easy to remove with an oil based eye makeup remover.
It comes in a sturdy little glass pot with a screw on lid, so there is little chance of it accidentally opening and drying out, and doesn't shatter if you drop it.
Fluidline comes in a few other colours as well!!
What I don't like:
Unlike a pencil or liquid liner that you would apply straight from the bottle, you need to wash the brush you use to apply it after every use.
I doesn't come off with just water, so you cant cheat and just try to wash it off in the shower.
If you take too long to apply it and the liner dries off on the brush, you will need to give the brush a quick clean before starting again.
You need to give it a sec to dry after applying before opening your eyes or it may transfer to another part of your eyelid. If you set it with eyeshadow straight away however, this wont happen.
After it had been on for 6 - 8 hours, you might need to refresh it with a new coat to keep it looking sharp and polished.
The BEST!!!
This is by far the best eyeliner ever created!! I have been wearing winged black eyeliner since I was 15 years old (I'm 31 now), and I fell in love the moment I found this!! It does NOT smear, the color is great, and it lasts ALL day long. FABULOUS!!!
Love
Fluidline is great. Super easy to get a winged liner. It was my first gel liner, I use with the 208 brush. I have Blacktrack and will be purchasing waveline!

Obsessed
I love Fluidline. I get 100 compliments every time I wear it. People always ask how do I get the line so perfect with liner, and i always recommend fluidline. Again, it is definitely a product of trial and error. I have been obsessed with lining my eyes since the sixth grade, so I have become a bit of an expert (and even so; i mess up sometimes). Practice, Practice, Practice. Using an angle brush (MAC 266) I have practiced making lines on my hands a bunch of times. This product will stay on your eyes forever. So, prepare to scrub!
Great Liner
Long lasting product, great to use on top & bottom lash lines as well as water lines. Like most liquid liners, it will eventually start to dry out if left uncovered and such, just add a bit of argan oil to slicken it up. I recommend this liquid eyeliner paired with an angled brush or fine mac eyeliner brush (209,210,211) I love it!
A Slight Disappointment
I had very high expectations for this product, as I’ve heard many great things about it.
However I’m not sure if this is the right gel eyeliner for me.
The packaging is basic black, with the name of the color and product on a sticker on the bottom of the pot. This is great if you only have one color. I feel like this would be a pain if one had multiple colors because you’d have to turn all the pots over until you found the right one. I don’t like how the lids aren’t completely flat, so I can’t store it upside-down for easier color identification. However, the packaging does look classy, so those are just minor complaints and I’m probably the only one in the world who thinks this way.
The liner itself is incredibly smooth. It feels like silk. It’s easy to pick up with a brush and it’s easy to lay down on the skin. It doesn’t pull on the eyelid, so the lines are always smooth. You know how sometimes eyeliners are a little dry, so they pull at the eyelid, which makes you have jagged eyeliner? Yeah, not attractive. This liner prevents that and guarantees a smooth finish. It’s matte, which I like because I find that shiny eyeliners bring out the fine lines and wrinkles in the eyelid, even on younger people. This liner takes a little while to dry, which might be a hassle for some people. However I find it useful because it allows a bit of time to smudge it out for a smokier look. When the liner dries, it stays. It won’t budge or flake off, no matter how many coats I end up layering. It doesn’t melt off in the heat or when I sweat and it’s slightly water resistant. I’d say it’s good for tears but not good for a swim in the ocean. The liner is safe and easy to use on the waterline, providing you have a decent brush. I use the Sigma E05 and I find that it does a wonderful job.
My only major concern with this product is that it’s not black. I was expecting some super-pigmented liner, but when I put it on it was just grey. I’m not sure if this was a bad batch or not, but I’m not willing to shell out the money for another one until I know that BlackTrack will actually be black.
Overall this is a fantastic liner, but I feel like it’s meant for someone with a little more skill. I don’t think it’s as dark as it should be, but to each his own.
Best Gel Eyeliner
This product is probably the best gel eyeliner ever! It's super BLACK and it's really easy and smooth and applies on flawlessly. If you use eyeliner everyday, this is your match. But if you only uses it from time to time or switch on and off from different eyeliners and is not a fan of gel eyeliners, then don't purchase this product because it IS quite expensive for a little thing like this, and it does tend to dry out.
