The Base/Shadow Brush

This brush is great for applying base shadow. I also use it sometimes for powder contour on my nose.

I am fortunate enough to have a few different sets of Kevyn Aucoin's brushes. I was going through one of my sets and I came across this particular brush. I'd never used it before so I whipped it out and did an application. WOW!!!! This brush does everything: You can apply an all over shadow base on the eye, you can take the very tip of this brush and make a precise line then flip the brush on its side and soften that line by moving the brush in back and forth motions. Great brush for defining the hollow, and for blending your midtone shade into your highlight. You can also take the very tip and get super close to the lashline to build or diffuse color, and you can even highlight and contour your nose with the tapered sides of the brush. What more could one ask for? If you don't have this brush, get it; for all the different things it does, this brush is a bargain.
