I've never seen such a beautiful polish!

Mermaid's Dream is just gorgeous. It's a shimmery aqua blue base with a teal green flash and chunky dark teal glitter. So multi-dimensional! Great for summer. I did find that application was a bit weird though. Not bad or anything, but I definitely suggest NOT wiping off the excess polish on the brush before applying to your nails. You need as much as you can get as it doesn't spread out all that much. Full review at http://tinyurl.com/6rao55h

I'm obsessed with this color!

I've always wanted to try one of Deborah Lippmann's glitter polishes, but I didn't know which one to try first. When I saw Mermaid's Dream, I knew it was "the one". The color itself is completely stunning and unique. It is literally like Deborah Lippmann bottled up an actual mermaid. It's a beautiful seafoam green base with a golden fine shimmer to it, with small blue glitter running throughout it. The base is best described as being an iridescent seafoam green actually. It is also extremely opaque. Don't even think about layering this on top of another polish. I would say it is opaque in one coat, but I always apply two coats for kicks and giggles. The official "description" is "a glittered shimmer sea foam splendor". The polish texture is a little gritty, but a few coats of top coat will take care of that issue.

To break it down further, it costs $18 for .50 oz. of product. For reference, a MAC nail lacquer is $16 for .34 oz. of product, butter London's nail polishes are $14 for .4 oz. of product, and Zoya's nail polishes are $8 for .50 oz. of product. So yes, one could say that Deborah Lippmann is a bit overpriced (compared to Zoya), but it is right on point with other high-end nail polishes. In fact, Deborah Lippmann nail polishes are a steal compared to other high end nail polishes, as you get more product for $18. I've already gotten a bunch of compliments with this polish on my nails, and I know I'm going to wear this constantly during summer. I highly recommend it!
