Beauty Product Reviews

SJP's Lovely is a delicious, deep, musky scent. One to two sprays will last the entire day. This is a very ethereal, warm scent that's great for bold personalities and works best in colder seasons.

A Great Product

Although I buy my cleansers over-the-counter now, I used this product for a while. I really like that it has no scent whatsoever, because I have extraordinarily sensitive skin. It also foams up really nicely to remove all traces of dirt and make-up, but it doesn't strip your skin of moisture.

The Best Toner

I've used this every day for nine years. It works wonderfully with combination (dry/oily) skin. It really deep cleans post-wash to remove dead skin cells and preps your skin to absorb your moisturizer. An excellent product and worth the price!

Best Facial Lotion

I've used this along with Clarifying Lotion Number 2 every day for nine years. I replaced the first step of the 3-step system with a mild over-the-counter cleanser that I rotate with a scrub and salicylic cleaner and I switched to the gel version of the lotion last year. This is, in my opinion, the best everyday moisturizing facial lotion.

This is one classic I dislike. It stings my chapped lips and has a bitter taste. Carmex now, admittedly, comes in a variety of flavors, but I can still tastes its original greasy flavor underneath the artificial flavor. It may be for some, but not for me.

Allows You to Build Coverage

I have combination skin. Some days my face is horribly greasy/shiny and others it is flaking off. This is my current foundation & I really enjoy it. It's about $10-12 at CVS and very easy to layer with a make-up sponge.

Heals Everything

This is a classic product that can be put to a variety of uses, but for those of us who suffer with chronic dry skin it's a must have! I use it on the tip of my nose before sleeping (heals a chapped, dry nose), as a lip balm before sleeping, on the soles of my feet and on my hands.

Great Buy!

This protector works well on both damp or dry hair. It has a mild, sweet scent that's not overpowering and it has an awesome price (it's about $4.00 at drugstores or Walmart).

This scrub works well to exfoliate dry skin, but I find that its smell irritates my extra-sensitive skin. It left it red, burning and itchy. I avoid it when possible.

This original Burt's Bees product has a great, fresh, peppermint smell and works great to soothe chapped or wind-burnt lips! It also tastes really good if you accidentally lick some off, unlike some other bitter balms.
