Beauty Product Reviews

I love this mascara! I decided to try this after my roommate bought it and continued to rave about it for months. This mascara is great for those who want their lashes to look longer and separated. This gives an overall clean, natural look. Please keep in mind, that this does not have any volumizing abilities and probably wouldn't be a mascara that you use for a night out. Perfect for day time, especially if you have a more natural eye look.

I usually buy mascaras in the waterproof formula, and I accidentally got this in the regular formula. This mascara holds curl well, but it made my eye lashes clump to the point that I had to use an eyelash comb to separate my lashes out. Also, by the end of the day, I had black lines under my eyes from the mascara transferring (note: I do not wear eyeliner on a daily basis). While these two features are most likely due to it being the regular formula, it has made me not even want to try the waterproof version since there are so many other types and brands of mascaras out there to try.

I've always wanted to try a bb cream, and after watching youtube's xteeener's review on this, I decided to get this one. I bought this online in the shade No. 23. Though this shade is lighter than my skin tone when I first apply it, I notice that after about 5-10 minutes, it slightly gets darker, but ultimately stays a little lighter than my skin tone. The coverage is between a tinted moisturizer and foundation, but more toward the tinted moisturizer on that scale. While it evens out my skin tone, it does not cover up any post-acne scar marks that I have.

In terms of it being moisturizing, for me, I still use a separate moisturizer with SPF underneath this. I also do not think that this does anything for the ocassional pimples that I get.

Overall, while this has more coverage than a tinted moisturizer, I would not re-purchase this mainly due to the price, and the fact that it doesn't seem to do anything more than what a tinted moisturizer can do.

I use this soft brush to apply blush to the apples of my cheeks. Being someone who usually uses big fluffy brushes to apply blush, this small and slightly tapered brush took some getting used to at first. Once you get used to it, this brush works great for applying blush exactly where you need it. Also, I use this brush to sweep pressed powder under my eyes after applying tinted moisturizer and concealer. It's small and tapered enough to have the precision to do so. My only complaint, is that with some of my blushes, it doesn't pick up enough product. However, that can probably help those who are heavy-handed with blush.

I have been wearing this for about 3 months now in the shade 235, which I think is pretty close to my skin tone. This is a sheer to light coverage pressed powder. For me, in the summer time and when I mostly stay inside an office during the day, I would say it lasts about 4- 5 hours before I have to re-apply. This powder also gives an overall brightening effect (when you look closely, you can see very fine shimmery particles, "mica"-according to the ingredients).

I bought two of these brushes after hearing great reviews, and I'm glad I did! I've been using them for about 6 months now, and they are my absolute favorite brush to set my face with powder. I use this soft but dense brush to lightly tap powder all over my face after putting on tinited moisturizer.
