Beauty Product Reviews

Lovely Mascara

This mascara has been out for a few years now I believe. I just purchased it about two months ago for the first time (late I know) Usually all Maybelline mascaras perform the same so I figured this product was a gimmick. I love this mascara because it is more of a wet formula. Most people I know like a more dry mascara, but my lashes curl naturally so I like the length wet mascaras give. The smell of this mascara is a bit weird and it smells like dandelions. I also thought the the One By One mascara smelled like dandelions as well, and it provided the same type of performance this mascara did, so the two are comparable. Overall, I feel that this mascara is a staple piece in any make-up collection because it is cheap and it works well. I recommend this product to make-up professionals and beginners.

I LOVE THIS BRONZER!

I have very pale, yellow toned acne prone skin and this product looks amazing on me. This is a staple every-day bronzer that looks good on a variety of skin tones. This bronzer is also very versatile and can double up as a beautiful transition eye-shadow. This bronzer is very matte, and shimmerless, which makes it great for people with combination-oily skin types. I don't apply this bronzer with the given pouf, but with a big fluffy brush, or the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. This bronzer is great for a very contoured look, a suttle contour, or just an all-over bronzy effect. I love this bronzer and will continue to re-purchase it since it is so versatile and essential to my collection. I bought this bronzer for $3 at Walmart. Can't go wrong there!

Works good, but expensive!!!

This is probably the best acne system I've tried so far. This really helped clear up my skin for about 2-3 weeks. The reason it cleared my skin up for such little time is because I ran out. The travel sized system itself is $40! (Full size around $80) I was appalled at the price of these products. This system includes a foaming face wash, a toner, and a lotion. The full size foaming face wash ran out quicker than the toner and lotion. This system is comparable to Proactiv. If you like this system, and don't want to break the bank I recommend trying Proactiv. I have not re-purchased this system and probably won't until I make more money.

003 Natural

I have this product in older packaging and a different shade. (003 natural) I bought this pressed powder from Walmart because of great reviews. ($4 at Walmart) In online photos, the packaging of this powder looks a lot bigger than what you actually get in person. This powder is best applied with a pouf and pressed in to the skin. This product keeps my skin looking matte all day and keeps my foundation from slipping off. I wanted to get the Transparent shade of this powder, but Walmart was sold out and the 003 natural works okay for me. Overall, I would probably re-purchase this pressed powder after trying out other pressed powders first. This is good for teenagers like myself who don't want to look over-done and cakey. This powder also smells like you would expect make-up to smell like.

It's okay

I've tried both the shimmering and clearing BB creams from this line. I have combination skin with dry patches and this product would actually cling to these dry patches and make them come off which led to scarring. I do not recommend this product to people with extremely dry skin or extremely oily skin because it would cause problems for both of those skin types. While using the clearing BB cream, I didn't notice any difference in my acne prone skin. The clearing BB cream provides light-medium coverage and doesn't last that long. The shimmering BB cream has light coverage and the shimmer doesn't show up (which is a good thing) on your face, and also doesn't last that long. (30-60 minutes for both) Both of these BB creams smell good, but personally I don't like when my make-up has a smell. The shimmering BB cream has SPF45 PA+++ and I believe the clearing BB cream has SPF30 PA++, but I could be wrong. These BB creams are good for pale skin and light Asian skin. Overall, I probably wouldn't re-purchase these products just because I wasn't too impressed with their performances. Also, they take awhile to ship to America from Korea and aren't worth the wait.

Love it!!

I bought this foundation in high hopes for full coverage and a matte finish. This foundation is a bit pricey ($38 at Sephora), but worth it for the phenomenal performance it gives. The Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation has a broad shade system. This foundation keeps my skin matte all day long and provides medium coverage. I have acne prone combination skin and this product covers most of the redness up, but hyper-pigmentation can still be seen showing through. This foundation is very natural looking and perfect for teenagers like me who need coverage, but don't want to look cakey throughout the school day. I recommend this product to people with oily skin and acne prone skin because it will cover redness and keep them matte. This product is worth the splurge. I would and will most definitely re-purchase this product until I find something I like better. You definitely can't go wrong buying this foundation because it is also cruelty free.

Got these as a gift

Used two out of the three brushes for my eye-shadow today. The detailing on the brush is super cute and great for any Hello Kitty lover. The brushes are super soft and great for application. Great gift to give/get!

Use this concealer daily

This concealer works great for brightening up dark under-eye circles. I also love to use this concealer on any hyper-pigmentation for a natural finish. The consistency of this product is thin, and it provides build-able light coverage. I also like to use this product for covering any redness and highlighting above my eyebrows. The downfall of this concealer for me is that it runs out pretty fast. Some people also do not like how unsanitary the sponge tip applicator on this concealer is. Overall, I will continue to re-purchase this concealer because it works wonders for the usage I get out of it.

Not amazing

I received this product (I believe a sample size?) in Benefit's birthday gift-bag at Sephora. The color of this highlighter is a beautiful champagne. I like to highlight my cupid's bow, above my eyebrows, and down my nose with this product. The downfall of this highlighter is that it doesn't last very long on the skin. I also found this product to be a little hard to blend, but not impossible. Overall, I would not purchase the full size of this product only because I feel there are bigger and better alternate highlighters.

Used this for years

This eyeliner is extremely creamy and easy to apply. It is extremely black and shows up that way. This product is great for people like me who line their water-line daily. I've tried other liners from the drug-store that do not perform as well as this one does, so I always end up re-purchasing this one. The only problem with this eyeliner is that is smudges and wears off easily. This eyeliner has to be re-applied to the waterline and cleaned up underneath the lower lash line. I do not recommend this eyeliner for lining the upper lash line. The price of this eyeliner is average-pricey. ($8 depending from where purchased) Overall, I love this eyeliner and will continue to use it until I find something that performs better and gives me the desired look I am aiming for.
