Beauty Product Reviews

HG Concealer

I LOVE this product. I was struggling for a long time to find a concealer for my under eye circles that wouldn't cake up or dry my skin out. Thank goodness for select moisturecover. I have gone through countless tubes already. This blends so easily, feels great, looks flawless, and holds up throughout the day. Its everything I could ever ask for.

The foundation with a painful flaw.

I have never been so disappointed with a MAC product before trying studio fix fluid. I actually really loved this foundation's coverage and the way it photographs. My skin is oily with acne scars and discoloration and this is one foundation that truly seemed to cover all of that.

BUT

It broke me out like crazy. I'm talking huge, painful, cystic acne occurring in less than 6 hours after my first application. At first I thought I was just having a bad breakout but as soon as I used it again after a week, I saw the same reaction on my skin. Whatever they are putting in this stuff is clearly not good. Skip it.

not good

This product was so dry its basically unusable. I couldn't even get it on my fingers or my brushes. Save yourself the 3 dollars and try one of elfs better buys.

Feels nice, smells nice, looks nice

Thats about it. It won't clear up your stubborn acne and should no means be the only part of your skin care regimen, but it is a very nice scrub and leaves oily and stressed skin feeling soft and clean. One of nuetrogena's better products.

Where have you been all my life?

I feel like this is one of the most underrated drugstore foundations. I have been battling with my acne for a while now and up until recently I haven't found a foundation that both covered my acne scars and didn't cause me to break out even more. I love this foundation. I love how it covers all of acne scars. I love how light weight it feels. I love the color range. I love how it stays even on my oily skin (with powder + primer). I love how blendable it is. It makes me feel like I have exactly what its named after, healthy skin.

For liquid lovers only.

I have been using the black liner for years, and while I have tried out countless other brands, I always end up coming back to this one. I prefer brush applicators when it comes to liquid liners because you can get very precise lines and they don't drag across your skin like felt tips/pens. This one has a long thin brush, which is perfect. The formula is very black and long lasting. If you make a mistake you can easily correct it. If you are not used to applying liquid liner, then you might find this product a bit challenging at first because it is very liquidy, but if you can get the hang of this one, you can soon use any type of liner. I wear liquid liner almost everyday and go through bottles quickly, so I really appreciate its affordable price.

At the end of the day, it just wasn't worth my money.

I don't think this product deserves the hype its gotten.

I love MUF but this foundation offers absolutely no coverage. I had to cake on concealer to cover up imperfections, my skin looked oily after 3 hours, it was hard to find the right match out of all of the shades and yet it still oxidized into a darker color on my skin. I could only see this working for people who have few imperfections or normal to dry skin types.

Great product from Urban Decay!

I NEVER apply eyeshadow without this baby. The perfect companion when working with cream shadows/pigments. My eyeshadow lasts all day and looks more pigmented. I even wear it on its own so my eyelids don't look oily throughout the day.

So convenient!

I am so thankful that Urban Decay came out with this palette! I love urban decay shadows and I love neutrals. This is the only palette I brought away with me to school because it has such a great range of colors.
