Beauty Product Reviews

Deeply moisturising

One of the most popular Body Butters when I worked at TBS, and with good reason. This stuff is rich! It used to be very waxy and took ages to work into the skin, but they changed the formula a few years ago and it's much more user friendly now. It has a light, slightly masculine, nutty scent to me which I like very much. Jennifer Lopez once said this was the product she used to get her JLo glow on, and it definitely does give you that luxe, moisturised look. And if it was good enough for La Lopez...!

A good investment

I use this product on my clients at work. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but if you look after it it will last you for years. Easy to clean and sterilise as well. This file is perfect for very thick dry skin as it doesn't scratch at the skin like a normal 'cheese grater' style foot file does. It just buffs the skin off and you end up with very smooth feet. I usually follow with the #11 file for a perfect smooth finish.

Almost too good!

I actually had to stop using this as my lashes got too long! They started brushing against my glasses! It's very easy to use, just apply as a clear mascara morning and night. It didn't sting or blur my eyes. Highly recommend.

Very effective

This cream has done everything it has said it will for my skin. It's a lovely product that is incredibly effective on lines and wrinkles and has improved my skin's texture. However, I find the packaging a bit too bling for my taste, and it is soooo strongly scented. It would get five stars if it weren't for these two niggles.

Very effective

My mother has been a big Decleor fan for years, but I've only just started using their products myself. I'm wondering why I waited so long! This eye cream is incredibly effective at smoothing the eye area, so much so that my boss asked me the other day if I'd had Botox. It has also helped with dark circles. The only complaint I have is that it is very strongly scented, although it does fade fairly quickly.

Delicious

I actually use this as a lip balm. The texture is lovely, sort of velvety but not in a silicone kind of way. It sinks in beautifully and moisturises my lips for hours. I'm hoping this will help prevent fine lines around my mouth, but even if it doesn't it's still lovely!

Bambootiful

I love this cream for its old school buff colour and light scent. It has a very light texture, but don't be fooled by that, it's a hard working scrub. My skin doesn't feel dry afterwards, but does have a squeaky clean, very soft feel to it. Best used in the shower as the grains do not dissolve.

Tantastic

I have never come across such a perfect colour in a fake tan. Absolutely beautiful, natural, golden colour. It has a very slight golden shimmer to it which makes you look better as soon as you've applied it! Easy to build without going patchy too. Perfection in a bottle.

The Best

I use Seche Vite at work as my top coat of choice. The salon I work in used OPI, and we currently use a Swiss brand called Mavala. Both are very good brands but I would only ever use Seche as my top coat. The tricks with this product are to apply on to wet polish, and to allow the product to spread itself. Let the Seche almost fall off the brush, so you have a bead of product, and then guide it over the nail rather than using lots of brush strokes. This way you won't pick up any colour on the brush or disrupt the perfect polish application you've just spent time on!
