About Me

Mathias Alan is a makeup and hair artist that began his career in Los Angeles over 12 years ago and is extremely talented, creative, and passionate about his craft! Mathias has painted gorgeous faces and created eye catching hairstyles for the red carpet, pop music icons, on air talent, and numerous commercials and music videos. In addition to his experience choreographing runway shows, hosting cosmetics educational seminars, and keying fashion week makeup teams, he is also featured as an on air celebrity makeup artist expert with the Cloutier Remix agency

Starting out as an avid child performer, he became interested in painting during high school and always had an addiction to reading fashion magazines and following the careers of MTV icons such as Madonna, Boy George, Cyndi Lauper, and Annie Lennox. He spent time in Las Vegas collaborating with some of the most amazing showgirls and female impersonators in this country. This is where he fell in love with the art of makeup, illusion and artifice. To paint on "the face" was much more rewarding and "alive"! With an eye for color theory, painting, and his skills in blending on canvas, he learned how to accomplish the theatrical fantasy art of makeup styles like the "Cirque Du Soleil" performers. He eventually developed an appreciation and skill for the softer commercial type used primarily in advertising, fashion magazines, and television print campaigns.

For the past few years, he has been the key makeup/hair artist on E Television's THE SOUP, with Joel McHale and he gets to work with celebrity guests every week. He is also one of the lead makeup artists on E Television's hit show THE FASHION POLICE with Joan Rivers, George Kotsiopoulos, Giulliana Rancic, and Kelly Osbourne. He has recently worked as a featured makeup/hair artist for OWN, the STYLE Network, Access Hollywood, MYV Netoworks, Glamour, IN TOUCH Weekly, OK Magazine, and BUNIM MURRAY Productions. Some of his clients have included Ashley Greene (Twilight), Evan Rachel Wood (True Blood), Jesslyn Gilsig (Glee), Cote De Pablo (NCIS), Melora Hardin (The Office), Sarah Ferguson (The Dutchess of York), Louise Roe (Plain Jane), Nadia Bjorlin (Days of Our Lives), Gretchen Rossi (Real Housewives of Orange County), Monique Coleman (High School Musical), Will.i.am, Joe Manganiello (True Blood), and Kathy Griffin.

Although Mathias has built a strong network of photographers, directors, and producers, he remains passionate about developing new creative collaborations with other professionals in the industry.
