Beauty Product Reviews

I have this in Havoc and Wisdom and they are quickly becoming my favorite liners. Havoc is ideal for a sophisticated daytime look. You can definitely see it's not black, but the color is not very vibrant either. The felt tip makes application easy and precise, with very little fuss. Wisdom is a beautiful old gold, slightly olive and packed full with shimmer. Catches the light in the most wonderful way. However, I find it'd only slightly sheer so I regularly apply two coats to make it fully opaque. I love them both and use them very regularly.

The gorgeousness of this shade is beyond compare. It's a vibrant fuchsia creme leaning on the purple side, ideal for summer. Has great lasting power and it can easily stay on for 5-6 days with just a bit of tip wear. Applies almost opaque in one coat, but with two it provides complete coverage. Very glossy and simply stunning.

Gives excellent coverage without looking cakey or obvious. Very long lasting as well. I love that there are 2 shades that can be mixed to create the perfect color regardless of the season. My skin goes a shade darker in the summer and this saves me the hassle of buying a new shade of concealer with each new season. Also, it's quite big, but still very portable. I expect it will last about two years with daily use. The mirror it comes with is useful for touch-ups. I don't recommed this for the undereye area as it's a bit dry and may look too heavy there. But it's godsent for redness and all sorts of discoloration on the rest of the face.

Love love love!

If I could only use one hair mask for the rest of my life, this would be it. Leaves my hair so soft and smooth, but doesn't weigh it down. Also makes combing through much easier and smells delicious. I have used a lot of drugstore hair masks an most of the richer ones make my hair a bit oily, and the lighet ones simply don't nourish it enough. This however, is holy grail material.

so luxurious

My skin is not particularly dry, but mostly normal. This oil smells wonderful and the great thing is that the smell lingers on my skin for a while after I take a shower. It nourishes my skin, but I suppose those who suffer from dryness will still need to moisturize after. I truly enjoy using this and I would love it even more if it were a bit cheaper.

Seriously loving this concealer. I like my undereye area to look slightly lighter than the rest of my face (not the Kim Kardashian kind of lighter) and this definitely delivers. I use the lightest shade, Ivory, and am about nc25 so it lightens a bit, but not too much. I have genetically quite dark undereye circles and this manages to keep them under control, both because it is lighter and because it has some concealing properties. It's definitely not full coverage, but somewhere around medium and I don't think this would work for extremely dark circles or redness on the rest of the face. My shade seems to look a bit like a corrector, meaning that it has those peachy-salmony tones in it, but they are barely noticeable. As for the shimmer, I really haven't noticed any. Perhaps I haven't looked carefully enough, but when I inspected my face, I could see no shine under my eyes. The texture is not too runny and not too dense so it's easy to apply and isn't messy at all. It does crease a bit, but all undereye concealers crease on me a bit. It's nothing too much.

The Best Blush!

I own 3 Illamasqua blushes: Naked Rose, Unrequited and Tremble and all are of superb quality. The pigmentation is beyond compare, they blend and apply like a dream and the color choice is to die for. And I particularly like the fact that most of the shades are matte. I have oily and uneven skin and shimmery blushes tend to accentuate my pores and some acne scarring. Matte blushes, however, blur the unevenness ever so slightly. These Illamasqua blushes also stay on for quite a long time and are relatively cheap compared to other high end/designer brands (e.g. Chanel is double the price for the same quantity). I think it's safe to say I've found my holy grail blush and unless they change the formula, I'll stick to these until the end of my days.

I quite like this product because it does help diminish and prevent pimples. However, only for a short while. My skin gets used to it within a few weeks so I have to switch between this and Avene Cleanance K. Tthis is nothing unusual since all skincare with AHAs and BHAs acts like this on me, i.e. my skin gets used to it so I have to stop using it for a while. Other than that, this is an excellent treatment. It smells very fresh so I feel relaxed while applying it, the quantity is quite generous (60 ml is more than any moisturizer from a European brand) and it didn't irritate or dry out my skin. And the price is pretty low as well.

Pure awesomeness!

Oh, how I have longed for this palette. It took me quite some time to finally save up for it because it was a bit hard for me to justify this purchase considering I already have an unhealthy amount of neutral eyeshadows. However, I do not regret it at all. It's most versatile and wearable and also great for travelling. None of the shades are a miss for me and I am actually very glad they decided to include Half Baked because I find that's the most interesting shadow from the original Naked palette which I, in general, don't find appealing at all. As for the quality of the shades in Naked2, I really cannot complain. All are extremely smooth and pigmented and blend like a dream. As with all of my shadows, I do find that a primer underneath is necessary, simply because I'm a freak who cannot stand fading or creasing. They can be worn on their own, but the lasting power is somewhat reduced (4-5 hours until they start to crease on my slightly oily lids). What I love about this palette is that colors can be combined really freely and whichever combination you choose will most likely look good. It's just mistake-proof and excellent for us lazy girls who often find it tiresome to shop our stash for the ideal color to complement that metallic gold or shimmery taupe we set our minds to wearing today. Anyhow, if you are a sucker for neutrals and palettes are your thing, I say: Go for it!

When I bought this product, I was hoping it would keep my wild brows in place. The hairs in my brows are very long and can be quite unruly. However, this gel did absolutely nothing. It made them look a bit neater for the first few minutes, but after that, I felt like i put nothing on my brows. It is very cheap so I don't feel like I wasted a lot of money, but would not repurchase or recommend this product to anyone.
