Beauty Product Reviews

beware of these!

These smell really nice and feel moisturizing after you use them, but I used them to take my nail polish off last night, and this morning my nails are stained BRIGHT yellow - like 20 years' worth of nicotine stains. This has never happened to me with any other product. I definitely won't be using these again.

I have shade 104, which is the perfect "my lips but better" shade. It has a really nice matte texture without being too dry, and great lasting power. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it smells really strongly of roses, which I find kind of unpleasant, but not enough to stop wearing it.

Amazing!

I have Barely Branded and Audacious Asphalt, and I'm dying to buy some more colors! These are worth every bit of hype they get. The color payoff is great, they're really blendable, and they stay on forever - I have super oily lids and this is the only product I've ever been able to use without a primer. The only complaint I have is that Audacious Asphalt is a bit too glittery for my taste, but that's easy to fix by layering a powder shadow with a less glittery finish over the top.

Not worth the hype

I bought this because everyone on Youtube was crazy about it, but I have to say it's not that great. I feel like the wand doesn't deposit that much product onto my lashes, so it takes multiple applications for it to actually do anything. It also gave my lashes kind of a spiky appearance as opposed to separating them. It's not the worst mascara ever, but I didn't find it to be worth all the online hype and I won't be repurchasing.

This was the first felt-tip liner I've tried, and I really love the applicator, but I'm not crazy about the formula at all. It starts smudging after less than an hour and by the end of the day it's basically all over the place. I do have pretty oily eyelids, but even with primer and shadow underneath this stuff manages to smudge pretty severely. I'm sad about it because I really do love the marker-type applicator and it looks so great when it first goes on :(

I just got this for Christmas yesterday and I love it! Normally I don't like anything with an overly sweet or floral scent, but I don't find this overpowering at all, and it doesn't have the powdery fragrance that a lot of floral perfumes have. I definitely recommend it!

not the best.

i really really wanted to like this. inglot's stuff is usually amazing - like a cheaper version of mac. but this eyeliner really kind of sucks. it's not long-lasting at all and it flakes all over the place - by the end of the day i looked like i had dark purple dandruff on my eyelids! i still like this brand as a whole - hoping to purchase one of their freedom system eyeshadow palettes soon.

seriously amazing.

this is my favorite lipstick. i don't think i have anything bad to say about it. the color is awesome, it's matte without being dry, it lasts forever, the packaging is cool, and it smells like marshmallows! completely worth the money. i plan on buying several more staple colors.

Decent drugstore buy

This is a pretty good drugstore brand foundation. I don't think it's made my skin noticeably better, but I don't use it every day, so that's probably why. It looks natural and it never feels heavy. However, I would NOT recommend using the brush that comes with it. I accidentally bought this foundation in a shade that was just a tiny bit too dark for me, but when I put it on using the attached brush it was wayyyyy too dark - it looked orange and caky. As soon as I started applying it with an Ecotools brush it looked much more natural and it was no longer noticeably darker than my natural skin tone. So I would only recommend buying this if you have a good kabuki/powder brush or are willing to buy one.

my favorite liquid eyeliner!

I cannot say enough good things about this eyeliner. I"m a liquid eyeliner junkie and I've never found a better one. I picked it up as a cheap replacement for my Urban Decay liquid liner, but now I don't think I'll be going back! This is basically a cheaper version of Lancome's Artliner, but there's really not much of a difference in quality, if any. The felt tip makes it super easy to get a precise line - it's like drawing with a marker. It dries super quickly and stays on all day! And it's cheap! I seriously can't get enough of this liner.
