I've found that most of the BB creams I've tried during the winter are fine for oily skin because the weather dries out the skin more during this season. During the spring/summer though some of them can feel heavy. The only matte-finish BB cream I've found was actually L'Oreal Magic BB (; the Asian BBs still have a slightly dewy finish, but these are the ones that are at least marketed for oily control/are in oily skin-friendly formulas:

Skinfood Good Afternoon Peach Green Tea BB Cream SPF20 PA+
- sheer-medium coverage
- fair shades No.1 (yellow undertone) and No.2 (pink undertone))
- light fragrance
- thick cream consistency good for winter wear

Skin79 Super+ Vital Triple Function BB Cream SPF50 PA+++
- orange can packaging
- only 1 fair shade in yellow undertone with medium-full coverage
- long wear time
- can feel heavy/sits on the skin

Hadalabo BB Moist Emulsion SPF50 PA+++
- lightweight, sheer coverage (not to be confused with the dry skin version BB Moist Cream in squeeze tube packaging)
- available in 2 yellow-toned shades Natural Beige (fair) and Natural Ochre (fair-medium)
- no fragrance
- liquid consistency good for year-round wear

KATE Mineral Cover BB Gel Cream SPF30 PA++
- available in 3 yellow-toned shades OC-B (fair), OC-C (fair-medium), and OC-D (medium)
- lightweight, medium coverage
- long wear time
- no fragrance
- gel-cream consistency great for year-round wear if you have really oily skin, but probably best for spring/summer if you're more combo-oily
*** personal favorite

Hope that helps!

About Me

I am an artist-designer, so I have an affinity for color and take the greatest liking to color cosmetics. But since becoming pregnant, I've been making more effort to take better care of my skin as well by reducing my stash to paraben-free products, physical sunscreens, and as many natural ingredients as possible.

Brands I love include MAYBELLINE, CLINIQUE, Hadalabo (肌研・ハダラボ), MISSHA, stila, JOSIE MARAN, Urban Decay, china glaze, KATE (Kanebo), Neutrogena and Aveeno.

A: Lately, loving Maybelline's Eye Studio Master Drama Cream Pencil + stila's smudge stick.

Q: Favorite BB cream?
A: HadaLabo BB Moist Emulsion SPF50 PA+++ (肌研ハダラボヒアルロンBB乳液SPF50 PA+++)
