Phyrra.net is written by Phyrra, a woman who loves makeup, standard poodles, sci-fi/horror/fantasy, writing, social media and gaming. She lives in Tampa, Florida. Phyrra is nearly inseparable from her cherished standard poodle, Phaedra. You can often find her perky pug, Maximus tagging along, too.

Phyrra.net focuses on indie beauty companies and products, but also covers some mainstream products. She prefers products to be cruelty free, which is one of the great things about most indie beauty companies. Her first makeup love was MAC. She now loves several brands, mostly indies, but also NARS, Urban Decay, Illamasqua and Make Up For Ever. You can see FOTDs several times a week.

Her musical tastes are eclectic, but you can hear her listening to things that fall into the darkwave/goth/ebm/trance/psytrance category. Her favorite musicians are Voltaire, Rasputina, Emilie Autumn, Portishead, Collide, the Sisters of Mercy, She Wants Revenge, Infected Mushroom, Switchblade Symphony, Ladytron, Depeche Mode and Paul Van Dyk.
