Urban Decay Naked Palette 2!

Hello lovelies! I am sure every makeup lover knows about the Naked palettes! I for one love both, but in preference of colors I chose the second. I ADORE this palette! I use it almost every single day, I use more nudes and brown tones so it works perfectly for my day to day looks. For the ones that don't think this palette will be very useful, I am more than sure you will find a way, the mixture of mattes and shimmer shadows are absolutely gorgeous! The shadows are beyond gorgeous and are highly pigmented, which is great about Urban Decay. You can create the most simplest to darkest smokey eye with these colors. There are 12 shadows, 3 of them matte (Foxy, Tease, Blackout) and 7 of them shimmer (Half-Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted). I am all for shimmer shadows, but the pop of mattes are great for your simplistic looks. This palette comes with an awesome duel applicator brush (shadow/crease) uses for your base, highlighter, and blending. It also comes with a mini lipgloss with a filigree cap. It is super cute and smells amazing! The gloss might look dark but its simple and very pretty and it has a cooling minty sensation. The tip is angled, and the squeeze applicator is rubber for a more easier "drag" on applying. Its a nice lipgloss but doesn't hold much product. A plus on this palette compared to the first that most are happier and rave about, is surprisingly the mirror. I do enjoy the bigger mirror its easier for on the go and easier to see. Aside from all that, a lot of you might love it but not the price Yes $50 is much for an average person/on a budget. But you get so much more out of it. Retailed price for a single Urban Decay shadow is $17, meaning the value of 12 shadows is $204. You get much more then you think. If you still aren't sure, go down to your local Sephora and test the shadows out for yourself! Last but not least! I noticed a lot of you are concerned on which naked palette to purchase. It depends on your makeup looks that you use most of course, and what you prefer. If you want more warm browns then choose 1. If you want more light to medium brown tones, then try out the 2nd.
I really hope this was helpful, thank you! :)

The Naked Palette 2 is more cool tone colors and good for more of a smokey look, if that is what you want I would say choose this one. But if you are looking for more muted or Bronze colors the Naked Palette is the one for you ;) They are both amazing palettes in their own ways.

Majority of the colors are shimmer. If you want an everyday look without the glitz, then the orginal Naked is best. But if you don't mind the shimmer of the colors then the second one will do. Nonetheless, they are both amazing and both are a beginner's dream palette

This product I got for my birthday (in Januray) and since then I have been using it so much! It's such an amazing product and I definitely recommend buying it!! I can safely say it is well worth the splurge! The neutral colours in the palette go amazingly with my complexion and I am VERY pale! They are really pigmented, the lipgloss is so nice and the double-ended brush is SO good! The bristles as soo soft! I think if you haven't, you should go out and buy this, because it is definitely worth it!!

I really love the neutral colors that it has the black is super dark. I didnt care for the repeat color of the copper color (forgot the name) I use this and the other pallette daily.

amazing variety: go from day to night in an instant!

I love this palette . These are the kind of colors I always use and having that black included just makes it easier for this to be my go to palette, day or night time. The formula for this eyeshadow is amazing: it will not come off. Plus the lip gloss that goes with it is just fantastic.

Very Overhyped, But Good Palette...

Very overhyped palette. Nothing out of this world, it is a good palette, has beautiful colors, good pigmentation, not great, comes out very pigmented when swatched with fingers, its another story on the lids, the packaging is very cool and the brush is very useful. Still the palette is nothing special, not a must have, is overpriced and you get better color pay-off from a cheap Wet n' Wild palette, which I use much more than this palette.

An Investment Beauty Splurge

The new(ish) Naked 2 palette was something I had to truly think on. I actually had to justify buying it. I didn't just hop into Sephora and grab it the first day it came out. I really had to force myself to wait, sit and think some more. Staring at other's swatches of the palletes shadows did and didn't help. Because in the end, I did buy the Naked 2 palette and it was for me a just(but expensive) purchase.

What mattered most was that all of the shades (except the matte black) were colors that truly flattered me. I do and don't like bold make up. Bold make up on others can look really amazing, but on me, I can only do small doses of it due to my glasses. :) Secondly, I wanted to buy a palette I truly would use. Not let it sit on my dresser collecting dust because I didn't want to mar its perfection. :P

My favorite shades are: Pistol, Verve, Snakebite and YDK.

I can't rightfully say that buying the Naked 2 Palette is something every girl should do, but if you are like me, still on the fence, there is no shame in still thinking it over, wondering if its right for you. It was a practical decision for me, but it was also an investment too. I'm happy I have it now and I enjoy using it.
