Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume IV
Great deal for $28 but I wouldn't pay more than that.
I am a huge Urban Decay fan and at this point I've got almost all of their shadows over the course of like 9 years. But this BOS really fell short, the shadows are starting to lack originality which is understandable because of the high amount of shades they've come out with over the years. And of course there are the repeats like Baked. It does have a few cool colors but like i said, nothing special. But they're extremely pigmented and blendable. The mascara is okay, nothing to really write home about. The eyeliner fades within hours on my hooded lids and well the udpp never worked for me.
The book itself is cool and I like the idea, they definitely tried to do something different with the usb drive and the mini-speakers (which i use for my ipod for regular music play). Like someone said it is a bit gimmicky and that cool factor wears away quickly. Overall it isn't a terrible product but Urban Decay has come out with better, take advantage of the low price while you can.

This is an awesome palette, and UD recently had this on sale for just under $30. Has a wonderful range of pigmented colors, both matte and glittery, and comes with eyeliner, mascara, and a little tube of primer potion. Downside: It literally is the size of a book, and opening up the "drawer" to access the palette is downright impossible at times. Badly designed. Otherwise, I love it.

I can't believe this is only $29 now! It was originally $64. I got it on the Urban Decay website and am soooo happy with it. The colors, of course, are amazing as always. I'm happy that I also get the primer potion that everyone's always talking about. The packaging is adorable. Maybe a little excessive with the pop-up butterflies, but who cares? It's so cute. I love these 16 brilliant colors and am looking forward to using this palette more and more.

This palette is amazing! There are some things I loev and some things I wish I could change. The things I love are the colors! Some are new and some are their known colors. My personal favorite is sin! I love that it comes with a mini primer potion, liner and mascara! The eyeshadows are pigminted like always! Now with the things Im not so pleased with. I think it is too big, I wish it was a bit less bulky and easier to get the bottom part out. I dont think the butterfly popout was necessary. I also don't like the speaker it comes with, it just isn't that great. But besides that it has amazing colors!: )

I love Urban Decay. This product though, probably not one of their best. I like the other book of shadows a lot more. This one is much bigger than the other ones. The tutorials that came with this product are nothing super special. The eyeshadow itself though are super cute! I love them! They are all pigmented and I love the names for the eyeshadows! The eyeshadows are cute, but I'm not a real big fan of the packaging. Also I love the fact that it comes with the 24/7 liquid eyeliner, the mini mascara, and the mini primer potion.

This BOS is my first one from Urban Decay and I love it. I purchased mine from HauteLook a while ago and it arrived on my birthday =). I have been using this palette nearly everyday since I received it. I am an absolute sucker for packaging and I can't help gawking at how pretty the cover is for this palette. I also find it very appealing that this palette comes with a full size of their new liquid liner, a staple in my everyday beauty routine. The colors are beautiful, as well as this palette itself. I use this along with my Naked palette and it is all I need. I definitely recommend swatching it in the store and looking at swatches online before purchasing though. That you can gauge if you really want the BOS for yourself.
This product is AMAZING. This is my first Urban Decay eye shadow purchase ever, but it will NOT be my last. All of the colors are amazing - they are incredibly well pigmented and cover beautifully. I will never be able to use another brand of eye-shadow again without thinking about these ones. I love how creamy the shadows are without being actually CREAM shadows, and they glide right on with ease, you don't have to do a lot of work to make the shades look clean & stand right out. I love the liquid eye-liner, again, I had only used L'Oreal in the past and I am glad I got this set to try this out! The brush is thin enough to do a lower lash line without having to wipe off globs of black for it to look nice. The mascara went on & covered beautifully. I haven't even used the primer yet, but I'm sure it will be amazing too!
Interesting
I love the packaging and the fact they give you tutorials and stuff. I also love the colours because they're dark (duh lol "book of shadows"). This was my first ever book, and I share it with my mum. We love it, but mum doesn't like the fall out. I love the fall out from the lighter glittery ones because it adds to the party/Ke$ha effect.
What is up with this packaging?
First off, let me say i bought this discounted on Hautelook. It has some gorgeous neutral shades in it as well as some beautiful brights. For the price I bought it, It was a great deal to get the UDPP & a mascara & eyeliner & the eyeshadow all together. I really don't think I would have bought it for the full price. Let me just have my little rant on the packaging...BOO. I hate it. It's bulky & the speakers are a weird thing to have in an eyeshadow palette.
I love this palette! I never bought any of the other book of shadows so this palette was very special to me. It has a lot of beautiful colors. They are very wearable and there are some fun colors as well. Its really good pigmented. I just don't like the fall outs i get when i use the brighter or the glittery colors. I use this palette a lot. I think it's a good palette. I don't like the packaging. I wish it was easier to open and I wish it was skinnier. It takes up a lot of space. I'm really happy i bought this as my first book of shadows palette.
