I went into Sephora looking for an eyeliner that will stay on through intense workouts. This didn't budge at all through 3 hours of sweaty volleyball practice. The color is intense and it applies fairly easily but not as easy as other non-waterproof liners that I have. The tip is somewhat stiff and it can be hard to draw a line if you have eyelids like mine that are pretty wrinkly and tend to snag and cause the liner to skip. I'm also pretty shaky with my hand. So I work slowly with this liner and pull my lid from the outer corner tight so that it doesn't snag. It really does last!!! It didn't come off at all during my sweaty volleyball session-- and I SWEAT a lot! I give it 4 stars because it isn't as easy to apply as other liners I've tried. Waterproof--YES. Ease of use-- depends on your type of eyes and technique.
I got this product in the Sephora Favourites Box around the Holiday's! It was one of the first felt tip liners that I have tried and I found that It had helped me perfect my application of this type of liner. It also stayed on all day without smudging and was really pigmented. I took a star off because it seemed to dry up fast for me and only lasted maybe a month and a half. I'm not sure if that's the usual amount of time you can get out of these but I would like it to last a bit longer for the price.
the best I've ever had
I was very excited to use this product because I adore intense blacks and liquid liners , but have had trouble with them since I shake. This is really easy to hold and it never fails me! Even when I have 5 minutes to get ready I use this puppy for my every day winged eye. And unlike some low quality liquid eye liner their is no waiting time for it to dry. Its really precise, never smudges, easy to change thickness and best of all I've had no trouble with it and water!
Best Liquid Eyeliner!
Can I just say, I HEART this freaken eye liner!
It's a pen type application so I don't have to continuously dip the liner back into the bottle which for some people wouldn't be a problem, but when I use tradition liquid liners I have to make sure the least amount of product is on the brush so I don't make a mess.. so it's probably more of just a me problem.. lol. But the way it's like a pen is also great because it's so easy to hold and just draw on the line.
The tip is nice, it's not too stiff, but is flexible enough. I feel like if you have a problem with control while applying liquid liner (which I do), then this product is for you.
And I love, love how waterproof it is. When I'm tired my eyes will tear up the slightest causing other liquid liners to smear or wear off, but this liner will not budge! It won't even budge with the oil slick of eye lids that I have, which is AMAZING!
I just really love this liner and will be repurchasing it forever!
It's hard to describe why I don't like this eyeliner but basically the "finish" or how it looks after it sets is not the best. When you line your lid the liquid sets and looks shinny and sticky...and the shade of black is almost too dark. Also after a few hours it becomes undefined and smudged.
I show my clients this product when they ask me which liner I wear and when I swatch it on my hand I make sure I have a bi phase emr close at hand so that I can take it off. Otherwise, it's there for a while. Precision tip makes it easy to apply to hard to reach areas.
Only downside, it can dry out quickly.
Ride or Die Liner.
Doesn't smudge, run , move or fade. I like the shape of the applicator and that they don't dry out as quickly as other products I have used.
The lid is something Stila should be proud of - it doesn't pop off in your makeup bag and it actually pushes the foam tip into the product every time you close it.
All the colours are intense and stay that way . You need this for your personal collection!
Easy to apply, makes me cry.
I have an insane case of the jitters in the morning because I'll have went so long for coffee. I prefer felt-tipped liners as they are so much easier to control. I loved the effect of this liner, but after an hour or so it would just flake off of my eye and into it so I was constantly teary and red-eyed. It wasn't worth it as I've found similar liners from the drugstore that didn't end up hurting me.
