Changed my mind once used differently!
Original review whilst using the product with my hands: (1 1/2 star)
The granules in this product are more than exfoliating they HURT! This product is way too rough for the surface of our skin. It did nothing for my acne! The thing to learn about exfoliation is - its not how hard you rub its how long! So be gentle and use circular movements for around 1-2mins..
New review whilst using the Clarisonic Mia: (3 1/2 stars)
I gave this product a second chance once i started using my Clarisonic Mia and funnily enough i think its a great exfoliant! Using the sensitive brush head it actually is nice to apply to the face and is not rough at all - its great to use twice a week to refresh the skin on your face...
Goes to show the Clarisonic Mia really can change how products work on your skin - definitely loving it atm (too ripe for a deep review yet - 2 1/2 weeks of use)
If you want to Scrape the Skin off of your Face
Use This! This Scrub is not good to use if you really want smooth healthy skin. The Apricot shell in this product is jagged and uneven. It will rip the dirt and skin clean off of your face! The worst part about it is that people really believe that the harder you scrub the better the exfoliation. It is best if you find a scrub that incorporates a symmetrically rounded bead or ingredient that can buff away debris, dirt, oil and/or makeup without eradicating the top layer of skin completely.
Important To Use The St. ives
I'm not opposed to using store brands. But the store brand version of this has too much alcohol and stings my skin something awful. The real thing is a great great great scrub! The best i've ever had, better than proactiv! I use it as a cleanser and a scrub. It's the best!
really good facial scrub
i really like this facial scrub, by far the best i have had before, i only use it once a week and it does wonders.. i recommend this to everyone.
Best Facial Scrub I ever had
I first heard about this product from my best friend. She told me that I won't regret buying this scrub and it was the best scrub she has ever bought! So I bought it, tried it out and I was very impressed! During the time I bought it, I had tiny blemishes on my forehead, it only took about two nights for them to disappear. Amazing product! I have been using St.Ive's for about 1 year and 1/2. There were weeks where I would stop using it and apparently, if you stopped using this scrub; Some say they would start to break out again. But for me, nothing happened. I highly recommend this scrub. Very affordable for a great outcome!
Face feels soft
It's a face wash and exfoliater in one. It makes my skin feels super soft after using it. I'm confident that I can get most of the dirt, oil, and makeup of my skin. It doesn't smell fruity or herbally. I don't really know how to desrcibe the smell. LOL. It's cheap and works well. I recommend it :)
Love it!
I use this scrub two to three times a week becaue it helps a lot with exfoliation and that is key to healthy skin. I love that it does help a bit with my acne and it smells sooooooo good!!! The abrasives in the cream are a bit to large so rub lightly onto skin... let it set for a couple of minutes to allow the salicyc acid to work. I use this religiously!

i love all st ives products having dry skin i started using their products nd man does it leave my skin soft i mean awesome besides there not to expensive and they smell so good you get more than your moneys worth im working on getting most products check for them at your cvs theyre on sale this week for 2.99 im hauling them all =)
Best Exfoliant I've ever used
I use this stuff about 2 times a week, right before I use one of my face masks. I would not recommend using it much more than that because it does exfoliate quite a bit. Its great because I find some "exfoliating" products don't have enough beads in them to actually do their job but this one does. Another good use for this is all over your body like a couple days before getting a spray tan!
Great in the beginning, but not for routine use.
I used to love this product and thought it did wonders for my skin. The more I used it, the more i noticed my face breaking out. If you are acne prone, I suggest you don't use it because the beads in it are too harsh for the skin. It may appear like a great exfoliant at first, but it does not leave lasting results for your skin, and can actually make certain individuals' worse.
