Sky Line Pink is a frosty, sheer, cool, nude-pink. The frostiness and lightness of this shade created a really cool, mod look. It went on creamy and smooth, and felt nice on the lips. However, while it didn't feel drying, my lips were a little worse for wear. The wear time wasn't phenomenal, about 2.5 hours. However, unlike the other pearl lipstick I've tried from Revlon, SLP didn't bunch up or settle deep in the cracks of my lips.
Apricot Fantasy is true to it's name: it's a *very* frosty, sheer warm peach/apricot color. It's a unique hue for a great price, but it had some problems. Apart from it being sheer (I prefer opaque lipstick), it went onto the lips unevenly and settled into lip lines. However, it goes on creamy and isn't stiff, and feels comfortable and isn't drying. Sadly, the wear is low: it needed reapplication around the 3-hour mark. The worst thing about this shade, though, was how deeply it settled into the lips: even when the color was removed from the mouth, the pigment was lodged so deep into the cracks of the lips it was near impossible to get off all the way! So this is *definitely* a shade that requires pre-wear lip moisturizing.
Beautiful Coral Lipstick
I wore this lipcolor for prom mixed with a light pink lip gloss. I had been searching for weeks for an inexpensive, coral lip color. Many looked not coral enough, while several looked neon orange on me. THIS shade is just right for my skin tone. It looks a bit bright on the tube, but goes on very well when on your lips.
I used a lipliner and a lip primer and the color was true and even ( I have discolored lips). I highly suggest this as a pretty summer neutral. It can be amplified with a bright lip gloss as well, so its very versatile. I will definitely buy this again when I run out!
I usually don't wear dark lip color, but I love this. Personally, I prefer a deep berry shade to a red. Once, I used this for a halloween costume where I was Morticia Adams, and it really added to the look.
It can be swiped over chapstick for more of a lip stain and it still looks good. It can look harsh if applied heavily, but as long as you blot and wear lipliner, it's a really bold, deep, beautiful shade.
I like this shade, but Va Va Violet was a disappointment
Black Cherry is great! It goes on well, feels good, and is a nice color. However, the other color I picked up, Va Va Violet, was pretty but I could not get it to go on unevenly! Sad. I'm returning Va Va Violet, but keeping Black Cherry!
I was looking for a nice inexpensive dark lipstick and I found two! I bought Black Cherry and Va-Va-Violet and love both (Black Cherry being my favorite). They're really complimentary to my skin tone, go on really nicely, hold well, and are really lovely shades that can be worn with one coat or layered for a darker look.
I've been looking for good drugstore buys lately because even though I love "higher end" makeup, I have a tendency to lose things- and who doesn't love saving some money? These were really great buys and I plan on wearing them for a long time to come.
