They are great!
I have the colors Gum Drop, Make Mine Mango, Gold Get Em', Grape Icy and a couple others I think. You don't need more then 2 coats for any of them your sometimes good with just 1!
Revlon's formula for nail polish is probably the best when it come to drugstore polishes, and the price is just right. I get typical wear out of my Revlon polishes, nothing spectacularly short or long. I do love when Revlon does scented polishes! They're so fun!
Fave Inexpensive Nail Polish
Last week I bought my first Revlon nail polish in Craving Coral. It's like a hot, red-orange color, really bright and summery. I absolutely love it! I love that it's not streaky and not runny when I paint it on my nails. All I did was paint on a base coat, then TWO coats of the Revlon polish, then a top coat.
I've gone through almost every inexpensive nail polish brand and this is by far my new favorite!
The only thing that could get any better with this silver is if it would last just a LITTLE. BIT. LONGER. i feel like I barely get it on before It's chipping. Anyhow, this is a gorgeous crumpled aluminum foil silver, that seems to shimmer and ripple. I love how bright it looks, and it compliments just about any summer or spring outfit. Plus, it makes my skin look tan and bronzy, which is always good for a Florida girl :)
Lilac Pastel - I really love the color and finish of this polish. It went on flawlessy and was opaque within two coats. However, within a day it was chipping. I do not know if that is the nail polishes fault because I have been trying a new top coat which might have caused it to peel off in one piece. I haven't heard complaints about it wearing off from many other people so give it a try because it's a gorgeous color for summer and spring!
Revlon Black with Envy enamel
For the fashionistas who the runways shows are their life! This color for the nails is just sophisticated and glamourous. This genius color is created from Gucci Westman who is the make up artist from Revlon. I just love, so sad it's just a limited edition. So if you want to look fashion, this is your option!!
P.S. This shade looks the same color as Chanel black color. So give a try!!
Ups and Downs
I recently purchased Revlon's "Lilac Pastelle" to get me ready for spring. It's a perfect lavender color and I definitely recommend it if you're trying to boost up your pastel collection.
However, I found that because of the color, you definitely need more than two coats of this to get the true color. Because of the lightness of this particular color, I usually put on three coats to avoid it from looking streaky.
Other than the numerous coats you have to apply, I definitely love this color!
how many coats?
I find that revlon polishes are pigmented but very thin, and you need seveal coats to get a nice opaque color. I find that the brush applicator is kind of flimzy, and a bit on the thin for me. I like to polish using 3 strokes for one coat, but it is kind of impossible with this brush. I find myself using 5 strokes for each coat and like 3 coats just making a mess sometimes. I had a hard time drying 'tropical temptations' even with a fast dry top coat and OPI's rapid dry spray.
I really enjoy this nail polish and the color range!
I can't wait to get more colors
They are super affordable (I get them for 2 for $3!)
The pigmentation is good in these nail polishes but I find some colors are thinner than others, which is no problem. I layer my nail polish anyways :)
I find the drying time with these polishes pretty quick and they glide nicely onto your nails.
