Best drugstore foundation for oily skin...hands down...
I have reallyyyyyy oily skin and this foundation does wonders for me. I even prefer it to many high end foundations. It photographs well doesn't feel too heavy.
Love this! This foundation sells quickly, therefore I had to get shade Caramel which was the only shade left (yes I was that desperate). I mix it and customize it into my correct shade. I've been using this foundation for the whole summer and I will continue to use it!. I have Super Oily Skin. My face can literally look like I rubbed oil on top of my makeup, but thanks to Revlon ColorStay I no longer have this problem. My makeup looks fresh and the oiliness of my skin shows minimally through this makeup. This foundation looks better when applied with a Powder to set it. I do not suggest wearing it alone! Overall if you're looking for a foundation for Oily/Combo skin that wont block your pores, and gives you a longer wear than other foundations I say Get this one!
This foundation has medium to full coverage, amazing staying power that could last for 8hours or so, it does not feel heavy on skin, it blends easily on my skin, it stays in place the whole day without any transfer and it is so affordable. But I dislike the smell and it can be messy to apply for it does not have a pump. Nonetheless, for its price and quality, it is one of the best drugstore foundation ever.
love this foundation it works so well and covers any redness wonderfully and its creamy and stays on all day. its great for oily combination skin and the coverage is medium-full depending on your application. and it blends smoothly!
Amazing coverage/oil control
Ok. I have acne prone skin, and a weird combination between dry and oily, and it's always been a struggle for me to really find a foundation that could actually work with my face type, PROS: Matte Great coverage long lasting affordable CONS thick a cakey appearance is easily sought on, so control the powder ad foundation layers smell is kind of gross sometimes tricky to blend
I must confess... I am a bit of a makeup snob. You would never catch me dead purchasing drugstore makeup... that is, until recently, upon moving out on my own and being forced onto a spending diet. I ran out of my usual bare minerals foundation, and with winter among us I wanted to switch to a liquid anyway. I reviewed this product over and over again and decided to give it a try... I must say, I'm impressed! I blend it with my beauty blender and the coverage is about medium, (If you have any blemishes you may need to conceal them) and then I set it with sephora's setting powder to prevent any funny oxidizing. It keeps my face nice and matte (but not flat!) all day, and does not leave me feeling cakey or flakey. My only complaint is a get wiffs here and there of the smell. Which isn't bad by any means, I would just rather my face not smell like secrets when my boyfriend leans in to kiss me! ;) Hope this helps all you beauty snobs like myself to save a couple of bucks!
After reading so many positive reviews about this foundation I decided to finally try it since an affordable foundation would be amazing. I used it for a month but unfortunately it broke my face out completely. :(
I wish I would have tried this product while I was in High school. I have oily skin, and this does wonders! Before using this foundation, I had to blot my face literally every hour. This is my holy grail foundation. +: -long lasting -keeps my face matte -: -oxidizes -dries really quick (can be hard to blend) tips: -use a flat top kabuki (ELF powder brush or sigmaF80) to apply for even, blended look -instead of dotting foundation on your face before blending, do it all at once before the foundation dries.
I used to love this foundation. It made my skin look absolutely FLAWLESS! But lately when I have been using it, it just makes my face look cakey and pretty gross looking honestly. Its not even that old, only about 2 weeks. I am thinking of just repurchasing a new bottle of it to see if maybe it was just that one.
I wasn't really a fan of this product until I learned how to best apply it to my skin. For me, using a damp sponge works for fast and easy application without looking "dead face." I also like to use the e.l.f. flat top brush to quickly get the job done. It does have a paint smell to it which my husband says, "your face smells like a crayon." (I don't think it's that bad) Overall, this product gives medium to full coverage, has a variety of colors, and can withstand humid climates. Bummer: it doesn't have a pump...so start off with a little and apply more if needed. Try it! If you hate it..return it.
