don't get the hype
I really don't understand why everyone loves this so much. I've bought it about 3 or 4 different times, thinking that maybe it was the way I was applying or something, but it wasn't. It just sucks. Too thick. Hard to blend. Doesn't have great coverage. Not blendable. This will not get another chance for me.
My Go-To Foundation
This stuff is as good as it gets for drugstore foundation, in my opinion. The have two different types of foundations to suit the needs of your skin! it stays on very nicely and covers up acne and rednedd well.
I use this in the 110 Ivory shade for normal/dry skin and I am finally satisfied HALLELUJAH!! For YEARS I have tried everything from Cover Girl to Maybelline to Almay to Clinique to Mac to Neutrogena and have always been disappointed time and time again. But now that I've found this product, my search is over. I love how it does not clog my pores or break me out. This has a light enough texture to let my skin breathe, all while doing an amazing job at covering my imperfections. And I'm super impressed with the staying power. Please please, Revlon I beg you to never discontinue this foundation. I'm a customer for life!
This is my everyday go to foundation, the color is perfect, it lasts for about 12+ hours on my skin, all i do is moistiurze before i apply it and then it stays, the price is a little high for drugstore foundation but i guess revlon seems to be at the high end of drugstore makeup, i apply this with a flat foundation brush, stippling brush, buffing brush, anything will work.
Why is it always me?
Again, this product is loved by almost everyone, and I couldn't get it to work it's magic on me. I did, however, pick up this one instead of the Combo/oily skin one. It matched my skin tone well. I felt like the coverage was medium, but definitely not buildable. I love matte finishes, but I felt this made my skin look dull. Also, I hated the way it faded! My T-zone would have foundation spots where the product broke down. It did this after about 6 hours.
Covers blemishes, dark spots and doesn't break me out - Revlon Colorstay is my holy grail foundation! Matched with the Revlon Photoready Primer it can last all day and night.
This is one of my favourite foundations, I love how many different looks you can achieve from it. You can use it lightly and it wont feel heavy or look cakey, and when you build it up it never feels cakey or looks like you have a full coverage foundation on! I absolutely love it and its almost pointless to use a concealer underneath on blemishes/spots because this product covers all that for you. Although, it doesnt cover under eye circles.
After reading a few of the previous reviews, I'm thinking that I got a bad bottle. This is such a watery foundation, it's odd. I like that it's full coverage and lasts the whole day, but it feels heavy on my face.
Favorite Drugstore Foundation
This is a wonderful foundation from Revlon. I love nearly the entire ColorStay line of products. The foundation, powder, concealer, and liquid eyeliners are great!
Doesn't feel too heavy on the skin
Great shade selection
Separate lines for both normal/dry AND combo/oily skin
Excellent full coverage
Lasts all day
The normal/dry line has less shades than the combo/oily one. (I have dry skin and I'm Golden Beige, but that shade doesn't come in the normal/dry line!)
This product is rather good the coverage is will impressed. You can actually tell this difference when you apply this foundation on. When I first applied it I noticed the difference completely and stopped using my other foundation and gave it to my sister, I think it was the Maybelline Dream something foundation, but overall this foundation it worth buying and trying!
