Not too impressed
I bought an introductory 4 pack of lip tar. There was a choice between 'Neutral' and 'Brights'. I chose the neutral set. I like the colors and the pigment is intense, but it really doesn't hold up very long. I expected this to be a product that really held on, but it doesn't. The color remains for about 2 hours, tops. The finish, however, seems to go away fairly quickly, and I'm left with just some faded color. I always use a lip pencil, and as always, that helps. I guess I expected more from something that calls itself 'tar'.
Best coral lip color out there.
Awesome coral lip color that is out there right now. The formulation is perfect, the color is to the "T", and this will last you for a very long time. You only need a small amount (drop or 2) and depending on the size of your lips, that maybe too much. Mix this with a lipgloss and its a perfect summer color.
Smooth, Pigmented, Bright, Moisturizing, Amazing
Okay, so thanks to Beautylish and all of the amazing girls and guys in this community I got introduced to OCC about a month ago. I'd already been super obsessed with LimeCrime and was looking for the next "boutique" brand to fall in love with. Of course as with any makeup in my case I al ALWAYS hesitant to buy before trying but after hours looking over OCC's amazing collection of colors I decided on Narcissus and Anime. Amazing! At first I was afraid that these lip tars would dry out my lips...not the case. It has a slightly minty feel to it, goes on smoothly (I do it with a lip brush) it feels soft on the skin, stays put and you need VERY LITTLE to achieve the look you want. I believe these two pigments will last me for quite some time. I can't wait to purchase some more! :)
New Color Pennyroyal!
I fell in love with the color and decided to add a bit of gloss to give my lips an extra bit of pop. The color is described as "darkest peach neutral" on the OCC website.
I have had my eyes on these babies for years and finally got my hands on them when I when I went to IMATS New York this year. By far one the most theraputic things about playing in makeup is mixing colors together-- these suckers are perfect for those type of things. You can generate your PERFECT shade of whatever! One word...OBSESSED.
Perfection in a lipcolor
I was a lip product junkie, always looking for that perfect shade. I haven't purchased or even felt an urge to purchase a new lip color since I have started using the Lip Tars. I currently have the colors Grandma, Ophelia and Queen and have been mixing between the three to create various shades of bright pinks and pink corals. The texture is perfect and they last forever. I can't wait to get a few more colors (I have a list!) and start mixing some of the darker shades.
Very minty, a little goes a long way.
I loved this until my dog punctured it. It was a nice natural color good for wearing everyday. It does taste a little funny, sort of like mint. It's a very high intensity color which is surprising. It looks like a lipgloss and is the consistency of a lipgloss but the color pay off is like a lipstick. It also lasts forever and you get a lot of product for $12 considering a little goes a long way.
OCC's Lip Tars are the most interesting lip product I have ever tried. You only need the teeniest, tiniest amount. Seriously, a tiny drop will saturate your lips. Too much product will equal feathering and flakiness. It's a semi matte finish but it doesn't dry my lips out like matte shades do. This also lasts a very long time on your lips. I have Anime (which is the most insane pink ever), Demure and Pageant. I'm really looking forward to getting more. AND if you have a pro license you get a 20% discount! OCC is quickly becoming one of my favorite lines. It's also 100% vegan which I also love. Amazing product!!
