Not as sheer as you think.
When the lady at the counter applied this for me I loved it! The shade was perfect and it looked beautiful in all lights so I went back and got it the following week.
Sadly, I was really disappointed when I applied this myself. I tried with brushes, sponges and my fingers but I couldn't get it to work at all! It was cakey and thick plus the colour was too orangey.
I used this for weeks trying to get it right and even mixing it with a moisturiser wouldn't work out for me. I ended up getting rid of it after months of experimenting. It was very hit and miss, some days it looked amazing and I thought I had it down but then it would look awful the next day.
I will definitely not be repurchasing! It's definitely not as sheer as it sounds, more like medium to moderate so if you are after a sheer/ light coverage foundation this is not for you!
Love this stuff!
I used Sheer Glow for a few years. I loved the light coverage but most of all I loved the color match. My skin has changed a bit in the last 6 months or so... It went from normal to slighly oily, more of a combination. I'm sad to say I can no longer use this foundation. It kind of slides off and looks a bit ashy. I highly recommend this if you have good, normal skin.
At $44 a bottle, i feel alot of people would walk past this product, but it is WELL worth the money. This is a staple when i'm doing bride's make up for their big day. For starters it:
Doesn't make you look "cakey"
It has buildable coverage
Gorgeous satin finish
Perfection. My favorite foundation.
I really want to give it 5 STARS!
My skin type is Combination to Oily Skin (oily on my T-Zone only and rest of it is normal).
I bought it in TANGS, Singapore , last January. I knew about this thing from Paula's Choice review and it's said that this is one of the best foundation out there.
The package is luxurious and the price is somewhat expensive.
I got stromboli for my shade and it's just disappear onto my skin.
This one is blended very well (with brush, by the way I'm using Shiseido Foundation Brush or hand), the texture is runny, and it leaves a smooth silky satin finish on my skin. It's like a second skin.
I really want to love this foundation, but it makes my face (T-zone) oily after about 3-4 hours of wearing. I'm using Clinique DDMG and MAC Prep + Prime before it, and it still makes my face oily (Regularly, when I'm not using foundation and just put some sunscreen and moist. my face never gets oily).
It's not enhance pores or dry flakes I think and it's build able. Unfortunately, it's not photographed really well, so ur photo will show ur skin without make up (Yeah, it's just like a second skin).
But still, I really want to give this 5 stars. But, not for me I guess. But I'm still using it sometimes.
Full coverage liquid gold!
I love this product. It was the very first time I only had to use one foundation instead of two to get the right shade for me. I got it on sale and snapped up two backups. It is on the thicker side of foundations but easily feels like I am wearing nothing after a couple minutes. It lasts me about 8 hours before touch up is needed. I am acne prone around my chin and have had no problems with clogging with this product.
Sure, the name is a bit deceiving considering this foundation in medium to fuller coverage, but I bought this foundation well aware of this. Amazing colour ranges, I am a NC5 and Siberia is the lightest shade, a perfect shade for my snow white skin, it has strong yellow undeertones, lasts really well, (up to maybe 8 hours) - I have oily skin, so it does tend to fade around my t-zone depending on the weather etc, gives an amazing glow to the skin and is great for people who have acne prone skin like myself if you want to mask spots without making them look dry with matte cakey foundations and therefore more noticeable.
"Sheer glow"? What sheer glow? Theres nothing sheer or glowing about this stuff. Its a decent foundation, but its thick and almost has this matte feel and look to it. (I don't recommend this stuff to people who are prone to breakouts or acne).
I mean, the foundation itself has okay coverage and its a good color for my skin tone, but I just really don't get why its called sheer glow.
