great drugstore alternative, dries out pretty fast though
love the color, the product works really well, doesn't smudge and is pigmented.
it dries out pretty quickly though. my bobbi brown liner i bought at the same time, hasn't dried out at all and is still easy to use. my maybelline liner has turned more into a paste instead of that super smooth gel liner feel.
the brush it comes with is useless as a liner brush. i used it as a lip brush for my occ lip tars though, as well as a super small spot concealer brush.
A great Drugstore Gel Liner
So The Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama is a gel liner and it is about the same consistency as the MAC fluidline. So big bonus there, it is smooth and easy to apply. It transfers incredibly easily and take a big effort to smudge off or remove by rubbing. The staying power is not as good as MAC's fluidlines which are amazing, the fluidlines you can rub your eyes for 12 hours and they won't come off, The Maybelline Eye Studio stays on pretty well for about 8 hours but if you are an excessive eye rubber then it's not a good, but still lasts longer then the Smashbox Waterproof Shadow liner which rubs off in about an hour.
As far as amount of product the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama is the exact same amount as the Fluidline but for half the price, and to me the Maybelline Eye Studio liner is a fantastic dupe for MAC Fluidline.
In all the Maybelline Eye Studio Liner is cheaper then the fluidline and applied as well as the fluidline and is very close to the same quality as the fluidline, and you also get the same amount of product for less.

Great Dupe of More Expensive brands
SO.. I bought the more pricey brands at Sephora before randomly picking this up at WalMart one night. I wish I had found this beforehand because I would love to have saved all that money. This stuff works just as well as the more expensive brands PLUS it comes with a perfect little brush for easy application.
This was one of my biggest disappointments! I love gel and cream liners more than life itself! Due to my oily eyelids, regular pencils just can't hold up. However, this liner was worse than most of the pencils I owned! Within an hour or two, it was all over the place, even over top my UDPP! Plus it was pretty expensive for a drugstore product!
Overall, just spend the extra couple of bucks and get either MAC's Fluidline, Clinique's gel liner, or Smashbox's cream liner. Seriously.
Fabulous Fabulous Fabulous!
I wore this liner to a Lady Gaga concert and partied, danced, perspired and got absolutely crazy for 8 hours, and it stayed on for the entire time! Not a single smudge! I only wish the colour were a bit darker, but that's no matter if you set it with a dark shadow (: Totally fantastic!
The brush is good for on the go, but I prefer to use an angled brush.
this works really well...when i was working as a makeup artist for Rocky Horror Picture Show at my school I used this when doing Columbia's eyeliner, this stayed the entire show..which had the girl sweating, under hot lights, moving around, and going crazy and it stayed the whole entire time...i recommend it, it was really easy to apply too
This is the Holy Grail of Drugstore eyeliners.
I've always had issues finding an eyeliner that wont go gooey at the corners of my eyes in like two minutes, and that will stay on my waterline.
I saw this in the cosmetics section of WalMart, and knew I had to try it.
I've never used any kind of eyeliner that was so magical! It sticks so well, and doesn't smudge at all! I even had problems getting the liner off with Makeup Remover.
<3 If you havent gone out and bought this already, what the heck are you waiting for?! Do it! Go now!
This is a fairly good gel liner. It really goes on dark and stays really well. I have tried other gel liners I prefer but in a pinch I will use the Maybelline gel liner. It does tend to dry out pretty quck and the ones I have had have had problems with the lid staying on.
First gel liner purchase. I got this in brown. Overall, this is a great product. It does tend to dry out if the lid is not closed properly, but I have found that to be the case with most all gel liners. Nothing a couple of drops of Glycerin, a hair dryer and a toothpick can't fix. Some may wonder if the drying aspect of it is worth all the trouble...I definitely think so. The pay-off you get with a gel liner is awesome. You can manipulate the precision depending on the brush/applicator that you use, precision that you usually can't get with a pencil liner. But you don't end up with that shiny look of liquid liner. This gel liner will remain in my makeup kit forever. BTW, the only thing I did not like about this product is the brush it comes with. That brush, for me, is better used for applying lipstick or blending out lipliner. I got a very cheap liner brush from the art store and it works great.
