i rarely wear lipstick, but my friend bought the lipgloss so i thought i'd give the lipstick a shot. i went to mac and tried both the lipstick and lipgloss (on top of each other) and i kind of liked it. i see a nude lip as more of a day color, not something you'd really wear at night, but i loved it a lot. i just wouldnt wear the lipstick with a lipgloss on top because as other people said before, you'll look dead.

bold but soft

Gaga is such a statement lip color in my opinion. It is a stand out pink but you can always tone it down by applying it lighter, or using a darker base or gloss. I personally like to enhance it with Benefit's Posietint underneath. I bought my back up because I use it so often I don't know what I will do when I run out.

So, this was my first MAC lipstick and since I missed out on the first Viva Glam Gaga, I decided to give this one a try. Before buying this lipstick, I looked at the face chart for her look and saw that before applying the lipstick, the makeup artist used a lip liner on her, which can alter the true color of the lipstick and I was anxious to see how it would look without one. I was super excited when I got it and tried it on right away. True, it looks a little concealer-ish on my skintone, but I like that it is moisturizing for my lips, though it can show imperfections on my lips.

My little tips to wear this lipstick:
*wear this with a slightly darker lip liner
*just dab a little on your lips if you're going to wear it alone (make sure you moisturize and exfoliate your lips first!)
*Top it with a gloss. Not a clear one though, or you'll get that nasty looking lip lol. I usually use my Mayfair lip gloss from Eyeko on top of it. I think a pinky one would be okay.
* Just experiment w/ different lip liners and see which one works best!

I would repurchase this mainly because I like the color, but also because it goes toward a good cause.

sooo this was not a good look for me. The lipstick is creamy and it does provide moisture BUT it made my lips look ashy. If ANYONE has any suggestions on how I can possibly make this work for me please let me know. Otherwise I may have to give it away. ITS A BEAUTIFUL COLOR!

Horrible

If I could give this a 1/2 of a start... I would. I bought this over the internet b/c I havent had anytime to run to the mall. I was so excited when it came. I saw Lady Gaga on TV and she said that it will look great on ANY and ALL skin tones. When I put it on, I looked dead. It is creamy, but it showed every crease on my lips. I have been in search of the perfect nude lipstick for over 2 years. This is by far the worst one I have tried yet. My friend tried it on (who is 1/2 spanish, 1/2 black) and it looked much better on her... actually it looked fantastic on her. In my opinion... if you have lighter skin like me, this is not the lipstick for you. The gloss is exactly the same color... so that being said, that looked horrid on me as well. I am going to be returning it today and hopefully I will find a good tone for my lips soon.

Okay, so I ADORE the first GaGa/MAC collab, so I bought this one without even thinking! Thumbs up for being an Amplified & it is super super creamy & moisturizing on my lips. It is a good nude but it has a thumbs down for my skin tone...it seems to "disappear" my lips...lol I may have to play with it a bit, probably use a the MAC Oak lipliner but other than that, I give it 4 stars. Good Job GaGa! :)

Unique color

I love this lipstick; very moisturizing and the color is great, kind of a pinky lavender. It goes on pretty sheer but you can definitely build it up. I can't wait to see the new Gaga lipstick!

i bought two!

i bought two of these lip sticks! i know the color looks crazy bright pink but i toned it down with a soar lip liner by mac and there boy bait lip gloss! together its the perfect pink lip shade :) try it out some time!

Gaga & MAC together? Yeah I wasn't really sold because I wasn't in love with bright pink lipsticks but I am so glad that I got over my phase and finally bought it! The color looks amazing with my fair skin. I always get tons of compliments when I wear this out. I always pair this with my NYX Smokey Look gloss and looks so good. The color is a really bright sheer pink. Totally buildable to get the shade that you want. I like to pack mines on so I can get a bright pink lip.

Statement Color

Lipstick was never a staple of mine until I saw the MAC add for their viva glam gaga shade. I was sold. I always stick to neutral or pink shades of gloss so this was the perfect shade of bubblegum pink to try. I'm in love its smooth long wearing and I always get asked what's on my lips. This is definately a product I'm going to stock pile!
