I use it everday!
MAC studio fix powder plus its just so awesome. I been using it forever since I was in Middle school. Also got my family and friends into it ")
Great coverage without feeling heavy
I get mine in the NC42, and i have hard to match skin and this seems to the trick, the coverage is amazing and very light weight! my skin feels smooth with it on and covers dark circles i sometimes get quite well.
I love this powder because I am not much of a liquid or a stick girl especially in summer, I hate the way it makes me skin feel, I usually only do liquids and sticks when Im going out/ to specially occasions with lots of pictures etc but this seems to have the same effect. I do admit I probably still will wear the heavier foundations going out, but I will be trying this to go out with soon!!
FIRST AND FAVORITE
I wear this shade all year long since my skin stays pretty much the same shade. I would really have loved to give it five but because it oxidizes are a rapid rate you have to continue to blot or apply pressed powder to do oil control. This is the first foundation that I started using outside of the drugstore and I have tried many different foundations and none are comparable. This foundation does give you complete coverage as well as that fabulous doll finish. I have three compacts that I keep: 1 for my makeup kit, one for my travel kit and one for my vehicle. Never without it!
My very first foundation from M.A.C. This product provided me with exactly what I was looking for, to even out my skin tone without looking to cakey or made up. It also doesn't irritate my skin or cause breakouts.
Great - But not for dry skin
When I first bought this product, I did not like it at all. I have dry skin and this made my skin look extremely cakey.
A few months ago, I bought a good moisturizer and began applying it before my foundation and I saw a huge difference. The powder no longer made my skin look cakey, it gave me a more flawless look with not much product! It has a very light weight coverage for me, which is fine.
One con to this product is that it does not last very long on my face, within 2 hours it has diminshed and I have to reapply it, even with a face primer on!
It's a great product to take with you if you are going out and need a quick fix! But as for an all night, going out product... I would choose liquid foundation.
Like your favorite pair of jeans...
...this baby never goes outta style. I have been using MAC Studio Fix Plus Foundation powder since I was 16 years old. While I'm not a huge fan of MAC's foundations in general (they are too reactive to most ppls skin) this powder foundation is one that I never leave behind.
At any one given time, I always own two of these: One to carry in my purse, and one to keep at my vanity at homebase. Currently I'm wearing N4 and apply with a MAC Kabuki brush (SO much softer than Bare Escentuals brushes, btw). It evens out my skin tone, lasts all day, and doesn't clog my pores.
On good "face" days, I use this by itself. On "okay" face days, I put it over a tinted moisturizer and on "ick" face days set my foundation with it. It applies beautifuly in all situations without being too powdery and never cakey. It is the perfect not-too-sheer/not-too-heavy alternative to things like Estee Lauder's Double Wear powder (I'm color: Ecru in that).
Oooo and don't forget that you can Back 2 Mac these babies. Save 'em up and turn six in for a free Lipstick! My picks: Craving and Cosmo
Added a glow that people still comment on
This was the best find for me when I was pregnant and even better after the newborn entered our lives and filled our days (and nights) with his joy.
Great to cover up blotchy skin or sallowness from sleepless nights.
Here I am two weeks after delivery. Can you tell he was only sleeping three hours at a stretch?
LOVE IT!
When i first started using mac, i swore that i was going to stay away from this. im glad i didnt. i use to see girls with caked on faced and was like WHOA. but once i tried this on i realized its not the product itself that makes it look cakey, its the person. i use this whenever im on the go. just dust a little bit and im ready to go. it covers redness and imperfections without having to put on too much. its perfect. i love it. glad i didnt stay away.
