matte finish is divine!

I love the finish I get when I use this foundation. So much so that sometimes I dont even use a setting powder and it stays matte! I think this is my go too foundation for the winter time.

I use this everyday, last me forever and all day, amazing at covering up all blemishes without being oily and doesnt make your face feel caked it is very light

ALMOST HG foundation!

Before this product came out, MAC didn't have a foundation light enough for my skin tone. I could use the tinted moisturizer in the lightest shade and it was fine, but even the lightest foundation still looked just a little bit too dark on my skin. When this came out, I was in heaven! I absolutely love that you can build this up from medium to full coverage if you want. It lasts a long time, doesn't look oily on my face, and is a perfect match for my skin. I love it! I would say it's my HG foundation but it's a little bit thick, and if you're going for full coverage it can tend to feel heavy on your face. I don't mind this, but others might.

My Everyday Foundation

I bought this foundation in the winter cause my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Naturale broke && got water damaged. I asked the MAC counter associate what foundation would be best for an everyday foundation, one where i wouldnt look too over done. She introduced me to this new foundation which was the Matchmaster Foundation. She used only one pupmp of foundation on my whole face and it covered up my redness and acne scars up pretty well. I purchased it and have been using it ever since. It is now summer and i am a bit too dark for it. But once winter comes i am definitely going right back to it. It lasts me about 8 hours. And i rarely have to touch it up, unless i am having an oily day. i dont recomend this foundation for oily skin unless you have a really good setting powder && have time to touch up thru out the day. Over all i rate this a 4 and a half star foundation. :)

I like it

I bought this foundation because of summertime I have gotten way darker than I usually am during the winter (about 3-4 shades darker). I decided to try something new since it will be my summer shade and I really like the finish of the foundation and coverage, however it is a tad bit on the yellow side (like most MAC foundations) and I am suuuuper oily all over so I find I do have to touch up anywhere from 3-5 hours after applying.

Some Good Stuff!

MAC has waved their magic wands and created the smartest foundation yet. MatchMaster is MACs first neutral foundation which was a huge hit for Fall Fashion Week 2011. Gone are the days of guessing if you are a NC(neutral cool) or NW(neutral warm) and then having to take the time to find the right shade.

MatchMaster comes in 14 shades from light for our porcelain dolls to dark for our chocolate dolls. After you choose the shade closest to your skin tone and apply this creamy foundation it will naturally adapt to your skins undertone and leave a flawless finish. MatchMaster is great choice for people with highly yellow (cool) undertones and those with highly pink (warm) undertones, because the neutral base will help neutralize the appearance of these high undertones.

The texture of this foundation is very creamy and smooth. For those with oily skin it might be a good idea to apply some mattifier to your skin before application.

My new go-to!

I've actually been meaning to review this for a while! About 2 months ago, I was getting really fed up with my skin. I've been having horrible break outs seemingly out of nowhere, I have combo/oily skin, but I've always taken pretty good care of it. My foundations (drugstore brands) weren't cutting it as far as coverage went. I went to MAC one day on my lunch break and explained the skin problems I was having, that I wanted a nearly full coverage matte foundation, and the artist suggested matchmaster. She did a swatch of 1.5 on my skin and gave me a sample to use over a few days to see what I thought. 1.5 ended up being a little too dark, but after a week I decided to go back and get 1.0 and ever since it's been amazing! I usually prime, apply matchmaster, and set with Elf's HD translucent powder, and it stays all day! I even wore it to a theme park a week ago, in 110 degree weather and it held up relatively nicely for about half the day! Amazing amazing foundation.

surprising!

i usually dislike MAC foundations for my skin, they're too yellow, too pink, too dark or too light...so this was a relief, since my first day trying it its been my go-to foundation. its a demi-matte, buildable medium coverage foundation and literally last all day with a primer & setting powder for me!

Favorite From the Brand

I'd heard mixed reviews, so I decided to try it for myself. LOVE the way this finishes. It may come across a tad bit heavy when you initially put it on, but it dries down to a flawless finish. If you moisturize and prime properly, you won't have to worry about the product enlarging the appearance of your pores, because the product won't settle in your pores. 5.0 is the perfect shade for me. Lasts all day, and I have to do minimal shine removal while wearing it.

STAYS ON ALL DAY!!!

I am a MAC fiend....almost all of my products are from MAC but i don't necessarily rave about ALL of their products. This is THE best foundation MAC has ever came out with. First of all i am a NW43/NW45/NC50...and i use the 7.5 in matchmaster...it was very easy to find my match. The coverage is definitely buildable i wouldn't say too heavy. I use it with my flat sigma F80. I always moisturize and use Prep and Prime before with strobe cream on sometimes. So I end up with a dewy glowy face and it looks natural!!! It is 33$ at macy's and definitely worth every penny. The bottle will last you long i don't use make up every day but i have owned mines for around 5 months now and i am not even half in the middle of my bottle.
