I use this eyeshadow to outline my eyes as eyeliner looks too hard on me for an everyday look. I personally love it and it is very long lasting. I wake up at 6 and do my makeup every morning and it last all day until I get home at about 5. The actual pot of eyeshadow also lasts for a very long time.
Although, I would not recommend it to use on the whole eyelid as it is quite blotchy and for it to look even you have to apply a little at a time on a little are of the eyelid and build it up which can actually take about an hour for me in order to make it perfect.
Overall though I think this is a great product and I will be buying more when mine runs out.
Favorite shadow of all time!
Amber lights is a frosty, but warm toned golden color. It is my go to lid color for so many looks! It can be used for a variety of occasions, day and night! It is super pigmented, and from my experience with using on others, it is universally flattering! Also if applied with a fluffy brush, lightly, can be used a great highlight on the cheekbone for warmer skin tones! This was my first MAC eyeshadow, and although I usually swear by my UD shadows, it made me fall in love and realize what so much hype over MAC cosmetics is! I will definitely always repurchase this!
I absolutely love this eyeshadow. I own it in the shade Cork and I mainly use it in the socket line and outer corners of my eye. The shadow is blendable and stays on all day, it really brings a warmth to my eyes. The eyeshadow itself is quite small but fits in my bag perfectly and will last me a long time. Look forward to buying more colours from MAC!
I have the shades bamboo, amber lights, cork, and i have 2 duos. These eyeshadows are soo pigmented, easily blended, and all around gorgeous! My only issue is the price. If they cost less than $15 per eyeshadow, I'd own so many more.
These are £12 here in the UK for the single pots of eyeshadow and I have the shade Sable, I love the colour and it compliments blue/grey eyes like mine, its a kind of dull bronze colour, but its still so stunning, when its on the eyes it is quite bold but blends easily, it looks gorgeous on the outer half and crease however I think I could find an eyeshadow just as good in the drugstore in texture and application etc but colour wise its gorgeous
Best Eyeshadows I have ever owned
I really love mac eyeshadows. They are a little more money than I would like to pay, but so worth it. Woodwinked is just a lovey neutral that isn't taupe, but isn't gold. It's just perfect. I also own Naked Lunch and these have stayed in my makeup bag since the day I bought them. Two thumbs up!
I have tried so many different highlight colors, none of them satisfying me entirely. I was afraid to try this one, because I thought it would be too white and bright. But it actually wasn't!
It's described as a matte vivid white - But it doesn't have to be that way. It's totally buildable, so if you just use a fluffy brush, you don't need to get that bright effect, and still have the focus remain on the actual look. And since it's matte, it goes with basically everything!
It also works as a base eyeshadow, like maybe if you want the colors you're gonna use on top pop out even more! I have used this under yellow, orange and red, worked great! It really made a difference.
So I really recommend this for everyone!
I bought this along with Rule eyeshadow, thinking that they would look great together - Which they did. They blended nicely into eachother, so if you need another color to match this, get that one!
It's a pinky-coral with pink shimmer, a really beautiful color, with a name that fits - It gives a really japanese cherryblossom tree feeling when used right! It's also a satin, so it's really wonderful, and compatible with lots of other colors, without being too strong and overpowering.
I have nothing more to say; it's perfect! And I don't even like pink that well!
I love bright and crazy colors, so of course I had to get this one!
It's a warm, vivid matte orange color, perfect for bright looks, but not acid neon bright - You may need to look elsewhere for that.
I think it's a really nice and bright orange color, and I'm probably gonna use it a lot for warm, not so natural looks. But the looks doesn't have to be extreme to use this - When used right, it can look pretty good! It's all about experimenting.
I also love the fact that it's matte! Orange doesn't need shimmer or anything, it's great on it's own.
