MAC Eye Shadow
Rice paper is my everyday highlight color but I have also worn this color on my lid and like it just the same. Rice paper is a color that can be lightly applied almost making it look like a matte wash of color or packed on in order to get a more frosted look. Out of all the Mac eye-shadows I have purchased this will probably be the one that I will purchase over and over again through my life time.
worth the effort!
I had similar issues... on it's own.. comes up dark, muddy & messy.. yet ..it looks so gorgeous! I did find using a dark cream as a base , made all the differece. & what a gorgeous color it is! wow!!!
They all are so pigmented
I have a lot of colors and these fit my needs . They are great for any eye color (mine being blue ) and are highly pigmented . It can be packed on or lightly tapped . They blend out so beautifully good luck! Also were is the color GESSO ?
perfect matte shade for green eyes
i am in love with this eye shadow. at first i didn't pay attention to it that much because it seemed a very "common" neutral shade that i thought i didn't need (got too many neutral shadows!) but man was i wrong.
it's a beautiful plum/ brownish purple with no shimmer at all (matte). super pigmented, perfect to put in the crease, all over the lid and outer corner. I love how this color looks with my green eyes, it makes them pop. one of my favorite mac eye shadows for sure. fyi: patina, soba, and quarry sometimes even with cranberry looks amazing!
ps: in the pic it looks completely purple because of the lighting.
Just Amazing.
I bought the Satin Taupe and Naked Lunch, ready for my prom last year after having my make-up done at MAC. They recommended the two eye shadows, and I've fallen in love with them ever since. They blend amazingly, and it's great to do a smokey eye that's not too dark. I'd definitely buy these again, and a different colours to continue building up my collection! And another thing, naked lunch works great as a highlighter too!
I use this everyday
This colors so great. I use it daily in my crease and outer v for the perfect daytime smokey eye. All I do is add highlighter on the brow and sweep on some mascara and I'm out the door. It's so much better than plain brown. Love it.
Not all they're hyped up to be...
I have three of these - Carbon, Omega and Sketch.
I HATE Carbon. You'd think it would be a really intense black but it is barely pigmented and you need to build it up A LOT to get a strong black. It comes out very faint. I have a £1 MUA black eyeshadow that has richer pigmentation than Carbon.
Sketch comes out beautifully - it's so smooth, pigmented and a dream to blend. Omega is also great to blend and the taupe colour is great - it's so multi-purpose. I sometimes use it for contour as well as for the crease of my eye when I'm having a "quiet makeup" day!
My Favorite!
I have tried many different brands (high end and drug store) and I have to say that MAC has THE BEST eyeshadows. The price seems a little high but believe me they are an investment and they will last you for MANY years. You might find dupes in the same exact color but I doubt that the quality will be the same. My favorite finish is veluxe pearl...I feel that this finish goes on smoother and it blends better.
Beautiful!
I finally bought my first MAC eyeshadow last month and I'm still so excited! Prussian is a deep navy blue and it's exactly what I was looking for. The texture is buttery and soft, a perfect matte eyeshadow. Definitely not going to be my last MAC eyeshadow!
