Good product
I picked this up recently at my local MAC. This isn't a brush that I use daily, but I do really like using it for putting eye shadow on my lower lash line, I find that the brush tip is just the right size for that. I've also tried this for my waterline, the brush is soft enough for that. This brush is also a good size for outlining the outter V on my eyelid. Overall I say that this was a good buy, but I did find that it was a bit expensive for such a small brush.
This brush is dense but it is also easy clean, it dries fast and it does not shed.
Great Brush
This is my favorite pencil brush and I have tried a ton, It's small enough to get under the lash line and yet big enough to use as a crease brush If your in a pinch. It soft and doesn't shed and hold up it's shape great even after multiple washes.
Another great multipurpose brush by MAC! I use this to put shadow under the bottom last line and it is a great smudge brush for smudging eyeliner which I do alot. I also have even used it in the outer v of my crease on a smokey eye. I have even one lined my eyes with it. I love this and if you needed 3 brushes it would be this one, 239, and the 217.
Another great smudging brush, good for beginners
I Love this brush for blending along the lash line, also for smudging out black or dark brown eyeliner for a really great smokey eye, works well with sharkskin shadestick on the lower lid for a great rocker look. its a great size at its small enough to be precise and large enough to do some of the blending in smaller areas.

I have many pencil/smudger type brushes and while they all usually fulfill the same basic function as the MAC 219, this brush just has the perfect taper and perfect denseness to apply eyeshadows under the eye and in the inner corner. Love it!
My HG brush
The MAC 219 is my most favorite brush out of my whole collection and out of MACs collection of brushes. I use it to smudge eyeliner and also for contouring the crease and for applying eyeshadow at the outer V. I know there's lots of dupes out there at Sephora and Sigma etc but i know for sure this one works and i know how good quality MAC brushes are so after much deliberation (by much i mean a couple years lol) and much attempts at using substitutes or getting by without it, i decided to repurchase this brush (b/c an old friend of mine stole the first one i got from me >:( ) and now i'm complete :)
This brush is awesome and I don't know what I would do without it. It is so versatile because it does so many things. I use it for smudging eyeliner, cutting the crease, applying eye shadow on top of liner, for a smoky effect, to apply shadow on my lower lash line, inner tear duct, etc.
Good product, kind of expensive.
This is another great brush to have in your makeup arsenal. It's VERY densely packed so it can pack on heavy color, smudge/smoke eyeliner and eyeshadow, and place eyeshadow precisely in the crease to blend. That said, it's a bit costly at $24.50 when Sephora's #12 brush is a great duplicate at $15. http://sephora.com/browse/product.j...
If you're kind of OCD and need to have all the same brushes, then go for the MAC at $9 more. These brushes are high quality and WILL last you if you take care of them properly.
