All you need are some bobby pins, a hair elastic, a bandana, and some hair spray. Brief How-To: - Section off part of the front of your hair, split into two parts, and roll into pin curls. Secure. - Pull the rest of your hair back into a high ponytail. Take small sections of hair from the ponytail & roll each section into victory rolls & secure each of them down around the base of the ponytail. Once the entire ponytail has been rolled & secured, fan out the victory rolls until it looks like one, big fluffy bun. - Hair spray into place. - Add bandana/head scarf. You can also choose to curl little wisps of hair by your ears like I have.

I don't know why people are so frightened of doing fishtails. They're easier to do than a regular braid, in my opinion! Here, I started with a high ponytail. Notice, I'm not afraid of colored hair bands. :)

Also called a four-strand round braid, there are plenty of tutorials for this style all over YouTube. It's a little difficult to do on your own hair until you realize you don't really have to hold your hair in the palm-up fashion most people use. Another secret I use on all my braids: if your strands blend together on accident, just combine the loose hair and section out again. Perfectly done braids are only cool for kindergarten anyway. ;)

Make sure to use heat protectant and just give it a minute or two then just wave the hair, add some hairspray to hold the waves and finish off with a leave in spray or finishing spray, I like to use leave in spray just because finishing sprays tend to leave my hair very greasy.

This was done with a rather short sock, little patience, and even less time. Good thing my hair motto is, "the less you care, the better it looks!" This came out kind or neat, probably because I secured the bun with a hair tie and then fluffed out the top a bit more than the bottom, giving it that three-pronged folded look you see here.
