Perfect Classic Red
In my opinion this is pretty much the most perfect red ever! The formula is fabulous and most of the time I can even get away with applying only one coat, which is incredible for a red. I've noticed the color really deepens with 2+ coats. I like both variations. Illamasqua really made a home run with this one!
This isn't my favorite Illamasqua color, but I still really like it. It's sort of an electric yet milky lilac. It's pretty, but I don't think it's really all that unique. The creme formula is completely opaque after two coats, though, which is a major plus.
This formula is pretty thin and streaky and takes about 4-5 coats for me to get it even, but it's a really unique color and worth the annoyance of getting it applied.
I bought this polish because I'm a huge fan of Illamasqua and I fell in love with this classic crayola blue. It looked great the first few times I wore it, the formula was great and it only took two coats for it to be completely opaque. However, after storing it for several months I found that it had changed into a dusty looking purple shade. I should mention that the polish was kept away from light and heat. I've heard from a few other people that they've also had this problem. This polish is too expensive to have this happen. Extremely disappointed!
Gorgeous.
This was my first Illamasqua, and it has really hooked me on their polishes. Phallic is stunning on the nail: deep blue with subtle shimmery sparkles that seem to make it glow from the inside.
Application is great, opaque in two coats, and almost opaque in one. It's not too thin or thick, and dries faster than some other high end polishes, which is great.
MAJOR LASTING POWER
These nail polishes are fantastic. I have also heard they outdid OPI in some nail awards in 2011. I found that it lasts for days and days. The colours are great a little whacky at times but you will always find something. It's a shame they are just so pricey! AUD$38.00!!!!!!!
Pitty
As a huge fan of illamasqua, I have to admit I was fairly gutted when I received one of these as a freebie with a recent illamasqua deal at sellifridges. Although the colours are stunning, I find the consistency is far too runny, making it awkward to paint with. I also found that its not very chip resistant at all, mine took less than a day to chip on at least four fingers. Really is a pitty, im just glad I didnt actually purchase this product, or I would have felt it was a bit of a waste. My personal opinion mind xxx
This colour was stunning - I wanted to eat it!
Although I found it to be on the pricey side, I think the money is worth it for Illamasqua's polish range, as their colours are bold, vibrant and with an easy one coat, they will last! It took many days for the polish to chip even slightly which I found to be a huge plus. I'm hoping to start up a large Illamasqua polish collection in the future, when I have enough money in my pocket. ;)
Note: This was the best photo I could get of it, though the colour is so strong and vibrant, really worth trying for yourself.
