too much shimmer
i would use this as a bronzer , and its in tiki I have very light skin color so this was pretty on me but too much glitter, I end up using a darker matte color instead // I just don't like the ffact that it has glitter
I LOOOVVEEE THIS! <3
there isn't ONE day i don't wear this! its perfect! i use it year round <3 it works with my skin so great and it last forever! ive been using it for about 4 years now non stop!
Very nice for blending tan lines in the summer
I purchased this over the summer because for some reason my neck and face never tan. So I bought this to match my neck to the rest of my body because I'd rather not use a bunch of foundation on my neck. It did exactly what I wanted. Little too heavy to use on my face personally because I don't where a lot of bronzer but I really do like and would purchase again.
I can't go a day without this product. Even on days that I feel lazy, I brush on a little of this and I don't look so dead anymore. It's so amazing. a little glow or LOTS of glow for whatever you are trying to achieve! I love it!
Nice non-bronzer bronzer.
I usually avoid bronzers because I am pale and it is hard to look natural with bronzer. Actually I think bronzer usually looks unnatural on anyone unless they really know what they are doing. I see a lot of bronzers out there that make you look dirty or orange. This was not the case here. This is super sheer color with a really lovely light gold highlight/glow/shimmer. Less shimmer more glow. It doesn't seem like a bronzer so much but a highlighter that makes you look healthy and fresh. Very natural for a pale girl. I can look like I got some sun without actually having to get sun. I layered this over my maybelline dream mousse blush and it was like magic. Really pretty. And dirt cheap! Oh, I have the color "Tiki".
I purchased this bronzer in "Tropics" at Walmart. I heard about it on YouTube. I love bronzers and have all sorts of different kinds so I thought I would give this a try. It's not pricey, I got mine for $7. The color is pigmented so you have to lighten up when applying this on your face, otherwise you will look like a burnt tan. It does give you that nice bronze glow and IMO, this is good for medium skin tones. I didn't notice any shimmer or glitter on mine, it comes out matte on me. Overall, its an average bronzer and if you want something decent without breaking the bank, this is it.
When I first purchased this product I thought it was going to be a bronzed peach color but when I swatched it and applied it to my face I saw that it has a gold shimmer sheen with peach undertones in it. This bronzer is very soft and gives a natural glow to the face. I would say this bronzer would be very good for someone that is trying to achieve the Jennifer Lopez "glow" without looking overdone. I love how this bronzer gives me a gold natural glow. Tropics bronzer is definitely apart of my daily face routine.
The Good, The Bad & The Ulgy
GOOD: Beaautiful product for the price point. Shows up on deeper skintones.
BAD: Giltter Bronzer = childish. Bad for photography as it reflects too much light and distorts the image.
ULGY: It crumbled into pieces parts in my purse. I always thought baked products weren't suppose to break easily.
too much shine?
PROS: This bronzer has a high pigmentation, and it covers light skin really well. It is also pretty cheap and easy to find. You can buy this at pretty much any drug store and grocery store with a good makeup section. I think its around $7-$9.
CONS: It is soooooooooo shiny. I hate how glittery it makes my face. When I have this product on while taking pictures, it makes my skin look oily, which is the LAST thing I want. Even if you apply small amounts you can't get away from the glow. I only use it on my neck and chest, now. I regret buying this product, and I wouldn't ever invest in it again.
I got mine at Walmart, in Tiki, for around $7
I just like it because when you first apply it, it gives me that highlight I have been trying to find this whole time! But the only thing that I rated it at just 4 stars is because it wears off, and some of the shimmer glitter stays on. The glitter isnt so chunky, and not as bad as Hard Candy's Moon glow powder in Luminizing, but I'm in my early 20's, and I think glitter chunks on my face is pretty tacky. I would choose shimmer over glitter anyday, except for when Im in the mood to be artistic:)
