Illuminating Primer

This stuff is terrible the texture is gritty and not as smooth as other primers. The illuminating one has glitter in it- I expected maybe a little fine shimmer but this actually has glitter. Not a fan... you are better off getting monistat anti chafing gel if you want a cheap primer.

I have dry skin, and i use the sheer envy primer. its my first ever primer, so I like it. I think its nice, and it makes my foundation and makeup stay on longer, it has made my skin feeling very soft and that's even after i take it off. A little goes a long way, like for my face, all i need is a dime sized amount and sometimes that's too much, so it goes a long way for your money. It does make it easier to cover blemishes and imperfections, like before i used this i needed to use a lot of concealer to cover some of my blemishes and scars, but after using this i don't need to use concealer all that much now all i put on is a dab here and there and it works for me great. The only cons i have about this product is, I don't like the feeling of it on my hands when it dries, i'm weird i don't like the way somethings feel sometimes. Other than that I love it its great!

I love Hard Candy primers. I have dry skin so it never feels thick or oily, it actually softens my face. The price is really decent for primers. They do what I want them to do, which is allow my make-up to last long, and go on with more pigment.

I purchased the skin perfecting one, because I heard it was great for oily skin. Um not at all! It was greasy and made me oilyer! I tried it with moisturizer and another day without and both results were catastrophic. My mascara was literally sinked into my bag lines, my eyeshadow had creased TERRIBLY, and my forehead was gross. I was so excited to try this. Obviously it was not the right product for me. I gave it a one and a half star because it didn't break me out like everyone else.

Works great keeps my makeup on all day. It is a bit greasy feeling so wouldn't suggest for oily skin. For the price worked very well. It doesn't feel too heavy on.

Made my pores clog up!

In the past, i only had a few clogged pores on my nose and my chin, after using this primer - i have clogged pores EVERYWHERE. my forehead, chin,my cheeks are ten times worse,and my nose. i would never ever touch this product again. i wish my skin was back to the way it was before i used this product. and no , it was NOT my foundation that made my pores clog up. i had been using the same one before using the primer and had no problem.

It's a decent product. I got it at walmart. It did what it was supposed to.
It smells funky though. I just took a whiff of mine and WOOOOEEY its nasty smelling.
I wouldn't buy again, but for walmart, it was decent. It added a nice shimmery brightness to my face under my makeup.
I personally prefer Urban Decays primer.

Good Quality, Good Price

I started off my kit with drug store brand makeup now that I am making money and can get simi-high end makeup I still have hard candy primers in my kit. I love them. To me theyre the best not to heavy, they settle fast your face looks flawless. This is an awesome buy. Good quality good price

Make sure you skin is in top condition.

My skin is really sensitive, especially on my chin and right on my cheek bones. When i first started using this product I wasn't to fond of it. It felt heavy on my skin and seemed to only make me break out. SO I did a little experimenting :). I did some research on the internet and found that oily skin is actually your skins natural response when your skin is to dry. I haven't used soap to wash my face in years (everything was to harsh and really irritated my skin) but even just using hot water I was taking to much moisture from my skin. I started applying lotion with vitamin E to my face after getting out of the shower. It helped a lot and I noticed that I was no longer breaking out after using the Hard Candy Primmer.

Also, giving the primer time to dry a little before applying any concealer helps to keep it from muddling up or setting into any lines.

Really liked what it did with my eye make up. It leaves the skin looking and feeling smooth, and really take hold of the shadow pigments to help them last longer. It also seems to be sweat proof, as after a hard days work, there was only a little bit of a smudge on my lower lash line, but nothing that as disastrous.

I recommend it, but only if you are willing to take the steps to keep your skin in top condition. One missed day of moisturizer is all it takes for this product to misfire.
