Actually works
I was surprised that these pins actually worked! I have long coarse and REALLY thick hair; I didn't think that just 2 of these would hold all of my hair up. I find that if I used a straightener to my hair these pins do tend to slip around and just hold on to my hair loosely. I did get the pins that were longer just to make sure that it would get everything but with the longer ones you do have to becareful when you are spining them into your hair that you don't interlock them; if you do your hair won't hold up at all. These are good to throw in my bag when I want to have my hair away from my face.
No more hair bands that pull out hair and give you headaches!
I was really skeptical at first. I was attending a wedding and wanted a neat updo without any fuss, and found these at Claire's, so I thought what the heck lets try this. I had trouble at first, but now it's my everyday go to hair piece! I really need to buy more, so afraid I will loose my only pair....this item is a life saver, and it really makes a classier look then a boring old pony tail!
nice effortless
These are great for a messy bun. And they do actually stay in. You may need more than two for thick hair. I like them because I have a sensitive head and they don't pull like hair bands.
It took me awhile to get the hang of how these worked, but once I knew how, I really liked them. Only advice I'd give is to definitely make sure you make a tight bun first to put them in. I like my buns to be messy looking, but I learned that if you start it messy (depending on your type of hair) it will start to come undone throughout the day varying on your activity level. If you make a tight bun first, you can play with your hair more to make it look like the level of messy you like. For me, it held a lot better!
great for work
i keep these pins in my desk at work and i always reach for it when i need to get all my hair out of my face. my patients never understand how i just roll it into my hair and it holds. its so cute and i am so amazed at how well it holds up all my hair since i have so much hair and its so thick,
I had higher hopes
My hair is naturally straight and thick, so my hair is too slippery to put it up in a bun. So, my hair needs to have texture in order for the spin pins to work properly. But I love the idea!
love using these for a quick updo and putting my hair into a bun.. people often ask me how I do it and I show them the pins. :) amazing product
Incredible!
These are so awesome! They are made of a decent material, my hair doesn't get stuck or knotted all up. It really does what it says! It holds your hair up in any style. My hair is fine and I usually can't do too much with it as far as updos go, but with these I can do any updo. I love them! So glad I gave them a chance.
MAGIC!!
These are the greatest things ever invented! I was scared they would get stuck or tangled in my super long curly hair but nope. They're extremely easy to put in and take out and it really does hold ALL of my hair. I always carry these around with me in my purse every where i go
Terrifying
I'm terrified to try these in my spirally-curly, tangle prone hair. Sounds like a NIGHTMARE. Like the velco roller, fine-toothed comb, or small round brush, I know to stay away.
