This foundation is great for someone with acne prone skin. It has awesome coverage and it will NOT cause break outs! I can wear it all day long and I don't even have to use powder, it is awesome! And I love that is has spf. It doesn't have a pump but the MAC foundation pump fits the bottle, so I use that.

In love with this foundation!

Coverage: This is a medium - full coverage foundation and the consistency of it is not too thick and not too runny, it's just right in my opinion but for those who do not like the feeling of make-up may not like it depending on your application. Though it is quite light weight, if used with a heavy hand, you will look very made up otherwise it can look very natural. Thankfully this foundation is buildable so if you feel you need more coverage, it can be layered up until you're satisfied.

Finish: This foundation has a very natural and semi-matte finish. It can be worn without powder as it sets beautifully and oil doesn't tend to shine through. I never wear this without powder, as I wear all my foundations with a finishing powder (just a habit).

Staying Power: Estee Lauder states that this foundation has a staying power of 15hours. I even think it lasts longer!
I have been on a trip which in total was 15hours+ and when I had arrived, my make up still looked like it had been freshly applied. I couldn't believe it.
This foundation lasts through hot weather. I can almost say it is sweat proof! Even through the heat it takes a very long time for oil to shine through.
It is also non-transferable and does not change colour through wear.

Price and Availabilty: This product retails for £26.50 now but at the time that I bought it, it was £25.50. It can be purchased at any of the Estee Lauder Counters (Boots, Fenwick, Debenhams, House of Fraser etc). It is available in a wide range of shades, though shades for darker women are very limited. "6N1 Truffle" (my shade) is the darkest. I am currently an NC50 in MAC for reference but this shade can be worn by those matched NW45/NW47.

With an non-transferable formula, lasting power of 15hrs and SPF 10, you can't go wrong!

Not recommended for those with dry skin as it is an oil-free product.

I took advantage of the Macy's Estee Lauder counter promotion for a 10 day supply of Double Wear. The first thing I noticed was that it took half an hour for the rep to find a shade that was comparable to my skintone. I am a Black woman (Mac NW45 skintone) and towards the 30 min mark I started to think I'd have to get two different shades and mix them. I ended up getting Spice. She applied it with a sponge, but to me that was TOO heavy so I am going to try it again with a stippling brush and see if I won't look so 'pancake face.' As far as getting it off my face, I washed my face twice, used astringent and remover wipes before I felt it was completely off.

UPDATE 2012 : I tried it again & scratch this --- I give it a full 3 stars. I wear it when I remember I have it. I wouldn't buy it, but it doesn't suck like I originally thought. I apply it with a stippling brush and the coverage is nice.

I wear the colour tawny and I like the finish it leaves on my skin. I am allergic to sunscreen but this makeup has not given me a allergic reaction. I like how it is long lasting as my skin is very oily. I would repurchase this again!

stays in place, oxidizes and clogs pores

the oil free variant broke me out still despite cleaning my face thoroughly. I hate it that the color looks so flat on me and looks heavy. coverage is good though. the foundation oxidizes after awhile. it is quite pricey but not worth it. find a better variant/brand

Won't be trying it as Company is not CRUELTY FREE as I am a vegetarian. I think that a lot more Cosmetic companies should go CRUELTY FREE we are in the 21st century after all!

I have used this foundation for a long time, my ultimate favorite. It makes me look flawless. I wouldn't recommend this for people with dry skin as it tends to look cakey on dry areas. I love the feel of this on my skin as the constancy is not thin or thick.

Best foundation ever! I literally would be lost without it. It's SPF is amazing and it stays on and color true for hours. I have combination oily skin and this foundation is perfect for me. Love love love!

Best Foundation Ever!

This foundation is amazing!
It feels light on the skin, yet covers up imperfections to provide a flawless finish. I have oily skin and most foundations begin to wear off after 3 or 4 hours. This foundation stays semi-matte and lasts through my 10+ hour work days.
I use a damp beauty blender to apply it and it sets beautifully! Double Wear is a must-have for oily skin types. Love this stuff!

Best Foundation for Oily Skin EVER!

Seriously, this product kicks butt and takes names. This is the only foundation I have ever used that has kept my skin matte and gorgeous for well over 10 hours. Its consistency isn't runny, but isn't thick either - it's the perfect consistency to get out of the bottle with ease, and allows you enough time to properly distribute on your face before drying. Double Wear provides medium, buildable coverage, with a natural, semi-matte finish. It's very lightweight and sets itself, so you don't have to use a setting powder.

I am amazed at how well this foundation holds up throughout the day and night, in extreme summer heat and over oily skin! This foundation does not rub off, slip or smudge in the least, yet isn't difficult to remove with a makeup remover/cleanser. My skin has not broken out from use of this product.

Double Wear is a must-have for ladies who have oily skin and suffer from foundation melt-down! Though, Double Wear is good for anyone who is looking for a long-wearing, natural-looking foundation that covers well and is available in a wide array of shades. I really cannot rave enough about this foundation. I'm amazed! It's definitely a bit pricey, since it's high-end, but you really are paying for quality here, folks. I recommend going to your local Estée Lauder counter and request a sample. They'll match you to a shade and your sample will last 10-14 days, so you can see the results for yourself!
