Such Pretty and Cute Colors
I only started buying Essie's polishes recently. I finally got into the nice new bright colors that this brand has. here is a review on the shades that I have so far:
Good To Go Top Coat: the only polish that i dont really like from essie. it is only a top coat, but i just didnt like how thin the brush was. i also wasnt a fan of the formula. it didnt make my nails as shiny as i hoped.
Pure Pearlfection: very very gorgeous sparkle. goes on top of any color very lightly and gives it a cute little sparkle. great for special occasions.
Aruba Blue: a very dark royal blue. reminds me of the royal blue prom dresses you usually see during the prom season. i love to use this color when i'm doing red, white, and blue nails.
Haute as Hello: love this color, especially for the toes. i just wish it was a little bit of a lighter orange. it does come out just a slight bit darker than it looks in the bottle.
Boom Boom Room: Absolutely love this light pink. i have it on my toes now and its just so pretty for the summer. i've also put it on my nails too and all by itself its really pretty too.
i am definitely going to continue purchasing essie's nail polishes, but only the colors since i wasn't a fan of the top coat. the price for them is not that bad either compared to other brands.
my favorite polish!
Essie nail polish is my favorite polish because of it's long wearability. It stays on my hands for longer than any other brand, and I need to reapply on my toenails not because of chips but because my toenails have grown and the polish is still there! I also love that you can get it at Walmart now.
I would recommend this nail varnish to anyone! My mum and dad brought me an Essie nail polish for my birthday and its one of my favorites. I can wear it for around 3-4 days with virtually no chips! The application is really smooth and the colour's are really strong and vibrant. Will definitely be buying more!
My Favourite
I have way too many of these. They dry perfect and they dry fast. I experience way less problems when I paint my nails with these polishes. They don't chip badly at all. They have no bubbles. There are lots of cool colours (although most of them are creme finish). The only problem I have experienced is that they separate and are hard to shake back up. Any nail polish will do this though, and its a very minor problem.
Lasts!
This is a true nail polish that actually lasts! I have Turquoise and Caicos, a gorgeous blue colour I believe that it is a limited edition i'm not sure! It lasts for such a long time, and the colour is a bit translucent than i'd like it to but its still great!
Quick. Easy. Minimal Chipping
I have around 3 Essie polishes and they're all wonderful. They dry quick and are very pigmented meaning you don't have to wait all day for them to dry, or you accidentally ruin them. They stay on at the maximum of a week. Will purchase more in the future. :)
Torn
I have 3 essie colors-- go overboard, wrapped in rubies, and ballet slippers. I'm IN LOVE the colors, but the quality isn't great, so I'm sort of torn. It chips and peels rather easily, and can go on in clumps if you don't shake it. I don't use a base coat which may explain the clumps, but I use a top coat and it still peels easily.
Favorite nail polishes
I love this nail polishes. The formulation is amazing! Any other nail polish that I use easily chips off where I work. Essie nail polishes stay on all week with minimal chipping and a little tip wear. I will purchase many many more of these.
Lovely summer polish
Though this was released in Winter, this turquoise creme screams summer!!! It's reminiscent of the beautiful blue/green waters of the Caribbean.
Where's My Chaueffer? has a good formula and is opaque in two easy coats. It also dries to a beautiful shine. I would definitely recommend having this beauty in your stash!
Excellent glitter polish
'Set in Stones', really amazing silver glitter top coat polish that is SUPER sparkly. In the clear liquid there is large circle glitter pieces and much smaller silver pieces. It is a bit thick but I think that's a bit necessary for having so much glitter in it, it applies very smoothly and no pieces stick out. One coat will result in a good scattering of sparkles, and about three coats will cover your nail completely with the glitter pieces.
(Two of my posted videos here use this polish!)
