Good primer, just not for reducing shine

I bought this product because the Sephora website listed this as being vegan. This primer is not vegan, but is vegetarian/cruelty free.

The product does not feel greasy for a silicone product. It made skin feel so silky and smooth when I applied. My foundation glided on easily and my foundation looked AMAZING after it was applied. It's also greatly minimized my poor SIGNIFICANTLY. As for the shine, it had minimal impact. I can usually go 4 hours without blotting, and was expecting to go a full work day (8 hours/desk job) without having to blot, and it maybe extending the time between using blot papers for about an hour or so. So some impact, but not great. It's a pretty good primer, but not for reducing shine.

Meets Expectations

I'm not going to call it a miracle product or anything, but I do find that it controls my extreme oiliness better than most. You don't need a ton (which makes it last a while) and it provides a nice smooth base for foundation. If you're oily like me, I highly recommend a silicone based foundation as well.

As far as the anti-acne bit, I'm not entirely sure, as I don't have problem acne, but I do notice I have fewer zits lately.

This primer doesn't feel greasy or over-siliconed, it goes on light and barely has any scent. I like it because it doesn't irritate my skin at all and the package is sleek and sanitary. It provides a smooth canvas for foundation however I don't feel that it mattifies my skin in any way or prevents oil breakthough. I will continue to try different primers.

My Def HG

It's the only primer that I use and it's def worth the price<3 I've tried different primers but no one beats Clear Prepfx I def suggest to those with oily/combination skin for a flawless base that lasts all day :)

amazing, holy grail for me

I love this stuff ! I have very oily skin and this is the only primer that I have found so far that really and truly helps at controlling my oil ! it is very light on the skin and does not take forever to sink in, the tube lasts FOREVER and I love that it helps to treat and prevent acne at the same time !!! it is expensive, but it is well worth it and worth trying !!!!

Great for Combination Skin

I love this stuff. I have a few primers that I use but this one is one of my favorites. It is perfect for combination skin. It doesn't leave my skin looking oily after I apply it. It really leaves a matte finish. I can't say enough good things about this primer =)

BEST primer for Oily Skin!

My mom has used the CoverFX Anti-Aging primer for a while now and when I finally decided to get a primer, I got went to CoverFX! This primer is so amazing because it keeps you matte all day and fights acne with 1% salicylic acid which is such a bonus (and I've found that most silicone based primers make me break out worse)! The texture is also great because it isn't as thick as regular primers and soaks into your skin so it feels like there is nothing there! If you have breakout prone/oily skin and are looking for a good primer get this one!!
