Changes color a bit

This was my first gel liner, and I really did enjoy it. I actually went to the mall to buy the shimmer brick, and ended up being drawn to the gel liners. The saleswoman recommended the ivy shimmer ink (I'd also like to say it looked nothing like the swatch on here, even at the end of the day), and at first I was a bit turned off by the idea of wearing green liner. (I would normally only want a pronounced dark black.) To my surprise, I loved how it looked. It was nearly black upon application. It is very precise and has great lasting power as well. The only downfall is that throughout the course of the day, it would fade into a more sheer, more green-gray color and it would not look the same at ALL. I also borrowed graphite from my mom and felt the same way. I loved it because it was such a dark and pronounced gray at first, but it slowly faded into a sheer silver. Just be warned if you don't get black-- it will not look the same as you applied it later, even after maybe thirty minutes. I wish I had tried black, and I wonder how the regular ones compare to the shimmer inks. I probably won't be purchasing it again though, for lately I've seen great reviews for much cheaper gel liners.

My Favourite Liner

It is long lasting, it is amazing and it is on the high end, but since I love my eyeliner I am down with spending a bit more.

I am in Canada and this product isn't that readily available to me, but when I went on a little trip and visited a Sephora they had it as part of the store - I almost jumped out of my skin. I have heard so many great things about this product so I made a bee line for it so I could swatch and gawk. From that moment on it was love.

If you are a beginner I wouldn't suggest trying this out right away. Get comfortable with the way you like your liner, small or thick lines, cat eyed or not but make sure you're steady and know what to do.

I say that only because you have to work kind of fast because it goes on creamy but after around 45 seconds it changes consistency and is harder to move around. On the other hand this is why I love the product. It doesn't budge and it does stay on all day.

Bottom Line: This is my new favourite liner and I am very happy to have found it.

Doesn't get better!

Amazing, creamy, and yes it is LONG LASTING GEL eyeliner ever! I don't think it would be possible for me to go back to normal eyeliner, and i use this everyday for a thin line just over my upper lashes. It gives you this natural, sophisticated look and when you're in the routine, it's so easy to use. As i said i've been using this one for quite a while EVERYDAY, and it's like it will never ran out of eye liner.
i'm using number 23 (Black Mauve Shimmer Ink) and it's soo amazing.

AMAZING!

I have been using Black Ink gel liner for a long time and I can't change no matter how hard I try. This is one of the few products that I have stuck with for a long time instead of changing and trying new things. It lasts all day long, does not smudge, or crease on to your lids. They offer a variety of colors but if you are going for the most basic - black, espresso, caviar, and sepia are the most basic.

TIP: I've tried to use other brushes but I find that the Ultra Fine Liner Brush by Bobbi is one of the better brushes to use. Or you can find a thin brush at an art supplies store (Hobby Lobby).

Make sure you close the lid to the liner EVERY TIME. The one flaw is that it will dry up and when it does, it doesn't go on the same and you will notice a difference. (reason for not giving it the 5 stars it deserves)

Gets too dry

This stuff, when new, goes on like a dream and stays on forever! About 1/4 of the way through it, it slowly started to get dry, thick, and went on less and less smooth. For the price and how long it lasts, I would not purchase again.

Awesome!!

It would be much cheaper for me to purchase a drugstore brand for gel liner but after receiving a makeover using this gel liner I was hooked. Black Mauve works great with my pink toned eyeshadows and even looks great with taupe shade "Kitten" from Stila. Also looks beautiful alone. I also have Caviar Ink which is a deep black. Both last thru the day and living in Florida it survives the humid temps as well.

My FAVORITE liner ever

this has got to be my holy grail eyeliner. It's long lasting(even when i cry) and so dark...i usually set my liner with black shadow and it intensifies it even more.

Best Gel Liner EVER.

I've been using this gel liner since I was in highschool, and i must say, it's my favorite. I think it wins the award of "most repurchased beauty item" in my collection. The pigmentation to ALL the colors is pretty amazing. I have both Cobalt Ink-a dark navy & Caviar Ink-black.

Cobalt Ink is a beautiful navy that isn't a crazy, omg she's wearing blue eyeliner! It's more subtle, but it does wonders for brining out brown eyes.

Caviar Ink is a very pigmented black, and the darkest black gel liner I have ever come across.

The texture of these gels are very smooth, which makes application easy, no matter what brush you use. It's long wearing as well as water resistant (lasted over 13 hrs for me), doesn't flake off, and is easy to remove come time for bed. (w/ a make up remover)

It doesn't dry out like other gel liners do, lasts awhile because it is so pigmented, and most definitely the best gel liner out there. I am on jar #6 I believe!

Favorite Liner

This is my favorite liner ever! I first tried it years ago when I was tired of my pencil liners not staying on. The product goes on very easy and smooth, I use the Bobbi Brown liner brush with it. I love how you can create any look with it, it stays on all day without transfering to your upper lids, great for sensitive eyes, and washes off easily with your facial cleanser. They last forever...as long as you keep the container closed very tight! As with any gel liner they can dry out pretty quick if they are exposed to too much air. Love It!

Black Ink, Well worth it

This is my go to Eyeliner it is the most amazing Eyeliner i have ever used its so soft and creamy and goes on so softly and doesn't get dry. What i like best is that you only need a little for a huge payoff if you use the right brush it can look seriously amazing! it may be pricey but its well worth it (I use the MAC 210 to apply this)
