Neither here nor there.
It's not my favorite mascara and for the price I think it could be a lot better.
First, the brush is pretty dense, but also rather large so it's not the easiest to work with.
The formula isn't dry but isn't wet either. It's a happy medium.
It does what it says and creates extra thick, voluminous lashes.. I looove the way it makes my lashes look.
However, it has a tendency to flake off and it will definitely smudge on your lower lashline.
So for the price? No thanks. You can get the same effect without the flaking for like 5 bucks with Almay's Get up and Grow mascara. Just sayin. :)
It's not my favorite mascara but its definitely one of my go to. It does flake sometimes but however it does make my lashes appear to have more volume and look longer.
Holds a curl
Big bottle with a lot of product
Flakes after a while
Smudges on bottom eye
Pricey at $18
Not an ideal brush unless you're into big brushes with long, synthetic bristles
Meh, can take or leave it
I received this mascara in the Sexy Little Stowaways set. I really loved it at first. I have fairly long natural lashes. This stuff is really soft and natural looking on the lash. It feels really light on the lashes. However, it wears off really quickly. About four hours into the day I'm checking myself out in the mirror trying to tell if I still have any on or not. Sometimes it's so natural looking that I really can't tell if it has worn off or not. The last couple times I've used it when I go to clean my eye makeup off at the end of the day there is very little mascara residue left. I'll keep using the one I have, but I'm not sure if I'd buy it.
I have naturally thick and long lashes to begin with and i think this product works for my lashes very well. I don't wear it on super humid days though because it isn't very permanent. This is my everyday mascara and I do love it. Love the name too. It does get clumpy if you put more than two coats but I usually don't have to so I don't have a problem with that.
I got this mascara as a birthday gift from my friend and I was really excited to try it out from all the hype. I've been trying this mascara for almost a week now and it's okay. It's not my new must have mascara but it isn't horrible. THE PROS: I like how soft it makes my lashes, it also lengthens and makes my lashes really dark. THE CONS: It is really clumpy after two coats, its doesn't last very long, the brush is humongous and it is kind of hard to work with. Overall, I wouldn't repurchase this mascara ever again, but I could see it work for people who have naturally long full lashes.
I like the effect this mascara gives, and how soft my eyelashes get after wearing it. But it smudges so bad! After a few hours the mascara glides down and makes me look like a panda. Not a great look.. I sometimes uses it under my other mascara and it holds better.. But still, a waste of money..
Two coats and I had four clumped together lashes. It has a similar texture and applicator as a drug store brand but a much steeper price! If you to want to get a benefit mascara get 'they're real' it's much more effective. To me there is no difference between this and something from target, accept the price.
For me, this product was a total waste of money. I wear this on days I have class and it does not even last half the day. My eyes have smudges all over by noon! So 4 hours of wear, it's already gone n it looks as if I was crying and my mascara smudged. SCARY. It did not lengthen my lashes, it just made them look a little fuller and darker. I honestly cannot say anything good about it besides that. If your looking for something of ok quality at a good price, don't even bother with this one. :/
from the Full Glam Ahead kit
I had wanted to get something from Benefit for eons, once my makeup obsession was in full swing. So on my second (I know, only second) Sephora trip, I had scouted out on online beforehand, some things from Benefit that were the most bang for my buck. After much agonizing I decided to get something from the 12 buck sale bins in the front of the store. I had previously decided to get the Full Glam Ahead set because I wanted to get a little sampler of some of their cult products.
The mini size of this is really cute- adorable packaging, as to be expected from Benefit, and its the perfect size for travel and storing comfortably in my MU train case. I love the rich, black pigment of the mascara, and the thick, very full/large brush. I love large mascara brushes, personally. The formula is what makes this product so unique however. Its tacky and thick, not wet and liquid-y. Wetter mascara formulas seem to aggravate my eyes, so this relatively dry formula is great for me. I don't necessarily prefer it to my other two fave mascaras- my mini Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara and my Rimmel London Volume Flash ScandalEyes mascara- which are both wetter formulas. (The EL mascara is wetter than the Rimmel, however.) This mascara performs well without curling the lashes, but now that I've gotten over (mostly) my long-time aversion to eye lash curlers, this formula performs best with curled lashes. It is not heavy, but has great hold and is very firm, maybe a tad bit sticky, on the lashes. I wouldn't say its the best I've ever tried, but its one of the best so far, and earns major bonus points because of its unique formula. I love having it in my mascara rotation, and its the one I reach for when I want to feel a little special. I don't reach for it all the time because its more special to me. However, I have a hunch this will last me a long time, even though its a sampler size. I would recommend getting the mini size before getting the full size, if anyone is curious- that way if you don't like it you'll have not wasted the money on the full size.
